And that’s about it, friends. Be glad in God!
I don’t mind repeating [what I have written in earlier letters],

 and I hope () you don’t mind hearing it again.

Better safe than sorry—so here goes.

 and I hope 희망한다 (that) 절 내용을 즉 you 네가 don’t mind 싫어하지 않을 것을 hearing 듣기를 it 그것을 again 또다시.

Better safe than sorry 후회하기보다는 안전한 것이 더 좋다 —so here goes 들어보라.

2-6 
Steer clear of the barking dogs, those religious busybodies, all bark and no bite. 

[All () they’re interested in] is appearances—knife-happy circumcisers, I call them.

 The real believers are [the ones () the Spirit of God leads] /to work away at this ministry,

filling the air with Christ’s praise /as we do it.

 The real believers 진짜 신자들은 are 이다 the ones 각각의 사람들 (that) the Spirit of God 성령 하나님께서

leads 인도하시는/to work away 열심히 일하도록 at this ministry 이 사역에,

filling 채우면서 the air 천지를 with Christ’s praise 그리스도의 찬양으로 /as we do it 우리가 하듯.

* Message 번역의 문제점은 너무나 의역을 심하게 하다 보니 원문 핵심이 흐려지는 단점이 있기에

   일상적인 언어로 성경을 배우자는 목적상 배우긴 하나 다른 번역과 비교하며 해야 한다

For it is we who are the circumcision, we who serve God by his Spirit, who boast in Christ Jesus,

and who put no confidence in the flesh—

We couldn’t carry this off /by our own efforts, and we know it

—even though we can list [what many might think are impressive credentials].

* credential ; the abilities and experience that make someone suitable for a particular job or activity,

You know my pedigree: a legitimate birth, circumcised on the eighth day;

an Israelite from the elite tribe of Benjamin;

a strict and devout adherent to God’s law;

a fiery defender of the purity of my religion, even to the point of persecuting the church;

a meticulous observer of everything /set down in God’s law Book.

[The very credentials () these people are waving around /as something special],

I’m tearing up and throwing out /with the trash

—along with everything else () I used to take credit for.

And why?

Because of Christ.

Yes, [all the things () I once thought were so important] are gone from my life.

* 강조상 문장 앞에 쓰인 목적인 명사구 ; [The very credentials (that) these people are waving around~],

   tearing up and throwing out 의 목적임

   타동사구와 자동사 구별하기 ;

   전치사를 동사에 붙이면 타동사구가 되어 뒤에 온 명사는 동작을 받는 목적이 되나, [tear up] the street.

   명사에 붙이면 부역 전구로 되어 동작의 때/장소/이유/양상 등을 설명하는 부사 역할로 의미가 통해야 하는데

   해석보다도 먼저 숙어로 사용되는지를 찾고 아니라면 단어의 문자적 의미로 해석해야 된다

And why 왜?

Because of Christ 그리스도 때문에.

Yes 맞아, [all the things 그 모든 건 (that) 그건 I 내가 once 한때 thought 생각했던  were so important 매우 중요하다고]

are gone 사라졌다 from my life 내 인생으로부터.

Compared to the high privilege of knowing Christ Jesus as my Master, firsthand,

[everything () I once thought I had going for me] is insignificant—dog dung.

/when I could get the robust kind //that comes from trusting Christ—God’s righteousness.

  직역은 비록 한글에는 어색하지만 영어감을 최대로 살리므로 영어적 사고를 형성하는데 최적이고

  영어 할 때는 영어 감으로 해야 안 어색하므로 영어감 획득은 영어공부의 필수라 보는데

   한글로 어색하지 않게 잘 해석하려 머리를 쥐어짜면 결국 깨지는 건 영어 감이요 사는 건 한글 감이 되니

   영어공부랍시고 하는 게 결국은 한글 공부로 끝장나서 역설적으로 한글을 영어로 직역하는 어색한 영어를 유발한다

   저것 주세요 직역 ; Give me that one, please. 의역 (무례함) ; 의역 Can I have that one, please? (공손함)

10-11 
I gave up all that inferior stuff /so I could know Christ personally, experience his resurrection power, be a partner in his suffering, 

and go all the way with him to death itself. 

If there was any way to get in on the resurrection from the dead, I wanted to do it.

Focused on the Goal 목적에 집중된/집중된 목적

12-14
 I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. 

But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me. 

Friends, don’t get me wrong: 

* have it all together ; to be mentally and physically organized; to be of sound mind.

* have it made ; To be in a comfortable situation or to be very likely to have success.

* be (well) on the/your way ; be about to achieve something in the near future (usually something good):

* To reach out ; to try to contact someone. It implies that you are making an effort to get a hold of someone,

* get someone wrong ; Misunderstand someone

* 강조상의 도치와 do ; By no means do I count myself~ = By no means I do count myself~

                              = I certainly don't count myself~

 I’m not saying 말하는 것이 아니다 that 절 내용을 즉 I have 가졌다는 것 this 이것을 all together 모두 다 잘 갖추어,

that I have it made 성공하게 했다는 것.

But I am well on my way 잘 진행되는 상태에 있다, reaching out 손을 뻗으며  for Christ 그리스도를 향해,

who 그분은 has so wondrously 경탄스럽게도 reached out 손 뻗으셨다 for me 나를 향해.

즉 나는 그분을 향해 가고 그분은 나를 향해 오셨다

Friends, don’t get me wrong: 오해 말라

By no means do I count myself an expert in all of this, 

but I’ve got my eye on the goal, where God is beckoning us onward—to Jesus. 

I’m off and running, and I’m not turning back.

* By no mean ; Not at all; certainly not.

* have (one's) eye on sth ; 1. To look at, especially attentively or continuously. 2. To have as one's objective.

* to beckon ; to signal, summon, or direct by a gesture of the head or hand.

* 부사로 쓰인 onward ; in a continuing forward direction; ahead.

* off and running ; Having begun and progressing well or as expected.

* 진행형으로 표현된 계획/미래일 I’m not turning back.

but I’ve got my eye 눈을/염두에 두고 있다 on the goal 목표에, where 그곳 God 하나님께서 is beckoning 손짓하시는

us 우리에게 onward 그분께로 오라고—to Jesus 그리스도께. 

I’m off and running 떠나서 달리는 중/잘 진행 중이고, and I’m not turning back 돌아서지 않을 것이다.

15-16 
So let’s keep focused on that goal, [those of us //who want everything () God has for us].

If any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment,

God will clear your blurred vision—you’ll see it yet!

Now that we’re on the right track, let’s stay on it.

God 하나님께서 will clear 밝히실 것이다 your blurred vision 너의 흐릿한 견혜를—you’ll see it 볼 것이다 yet 여전히!

Now that 그런즉 we’re 우린 on the right track 옳은 길에 있기에, let’s stay 머무르자/떠나지 말자 on it 그것에서.

17-19 
Stick with me, friends. 

Keep track of those () you see running this same course, headed for this same goal.

There are many /out there /taking other paths, choosing other goals,

and trying to get you to go along with them.

I’ve warned you of them /many times; sadly, I’m having to do it again.

[All () they want] is easy street.

* stick · 2a : to remain in a place, situation, or environment. b : to hold fast or adhere resolutely :

* keep track ; To actively keep an account of something so that one is well informed about it,

                   often by routinely monitoring or assessing it.

* 삽입구인 (being) headed for this same goal.

  /taking other paths, choosing other goals, and trying to get you to go along with them.

* have to do with something ; to be associated with or related to something.

Stick with me 내게 붙어 있으며, friends.

Keep track 알아보라 of those 그들에 관해 (that) 그들은 you 네가 see 보기에

There are 존재한다 many 많은 사람이 /out there 먼데/이상한 데서 /taking other paths 다른 길을 취하고,

sadly 슬프게도, I’m having to do it 그걸 하도록 관련되고 있다 again 다시금.

[All 모든 것 (that) 그건 they 그들이 want 원하는 것] is easy street 쉬운 길이다.

They hate Christ’s Cross.

But easy street is a dead-end street.

[Those //who live there] make their bellies their gods;

belches are their praise; [all () they can think of] is their appetites.

But there’s far more to life for us. 

We’re citizens of high heaven! 

We’re waiting the arrival of the Savior, the Master, Jesus Christ, 

who will transform our earthy bodies into glorious bodies like his own. 

He’ll make us beautiful and whole /with the same powerful skill

//by which he is putting everything as it should be, under and around him.

like his own 그분과 동일한 몸처럼. 

He’ll make 만들 것이다 us 우리를 beautiful 멋지고 and whole 온전하게 /with the same powerful skill 같은 강력한 솜씨로

//by which 그걸로 he 그분께서 is putting 놓으신 everything 모든 걸 as it should be 있어야 할 자리에,

under and around him 그분 아래와 주변에.
