Bible Reading - Acts 7:41~50

7:41 That was the time they made an idol in the form of a calf. 

그때 그들은 송아지 모양의 우상을 만들었다.

They brought sacrifices to it and held a celebration in honor of what their hands had made.

그들은 제물을 바치고 자신들의 손으로 만든 것을 기리는 축제를 열었다.

7:42 But God turned away and gave them over to the worship of the heavenly bodies.

그러나 하나님께서는 그들을 외면하시고 천상의 존재들을 숭배하도록 내버려 두셨다.

 This agrees with what is written in the book of the prophets:

이는 예언서에 기록된 내용과 일치한다.

 "'Did you bring me sacrifices and offerings forty years in the desert, O house of Israel?

이스라엘 집아, 너희가 광야에서 사십 년 동안 내게 제물과 예물을 바쳤느냐?

7:43 You have lifted up the shrine of Molech and the star of your god Rephan, the idols you made to worship.

너희는 몰렉 신의 신전과 레판 신의 별, 곧 너희가 숭배하기 위해 만든 우상을 높이 세웠다.

Therefore I will send you into exile' beyond Babylon.

그러므로 내가 너를 바빌론 너머로 유배 보내겠다.

7:44 "Our forefathers had the tabernacle of the Testimony with them in the desert.

우리 조상들은 광야에서 증거의 성막을 가지고 다녔다.

It had been made as God directed Moses, according to the pattern he had seen.

그것은 하나님께서 모세에게 지시하신 대로, 모세가 본 모형대로 만들어졌다.

7:45 Having received the tabernacle, 성막을 받은 후에,

our fathers under Joshua brought it with them 여호수아 휘하의 우리 선조들이 그것을 가지고 왔다.

when they took the land from the nations God drove out before them.

그들이 하나님께서 그들 앞에서 쫓아내신 민족들로부터 땅을 차지했을 때.

It remained in the land until the time of David, 그것은 다윗의 때까지 그 땅에 머물렀고 

7:46 who enjoyed God's favor and asked that he might provide a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.

하나님의 은총을 받은 다윗은 야곱의 하나님을 위한 거처를 마련할 수 있게 해달라고 기도했다.

7:47 But it was Solomon who built the house for him.

그러나 그를 위한 집을 건축했던 사람은 솔로몬이었다.

7:48 "However, the Most High does not live in houses made by men. 

그러나 가장 높으신 분은 사람이 만든 집에 거하시지 않으신다.

As the prophet says: 선지자가 말한 것처럼 

7:49 "'Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. 

하늘은 나의 보좌요, 땅은 나의 발판이다.

What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord.

"너는 어떤 집을 나를 위해 지을 것인가?"하고 주님께서 말씀하신다.

Or where will my resting place be? 혹은 내가 쉬는 장소가 어디에 있을 것인가?

7:50 Has not my hand made all these things?' 내 손이 이 모든 것을 만들지 않았던가?
