Bible Reading - Acts 7:51~60

51. “You stiff-necked people!
너희 목이 곧은 사람들아!
Your hearts and ears are still uncircumcised.
너희의 마음과 귀가 여전히 할례받지 못했다.
You are just like your ancestors: 너희는 그냥 너희의 조상들과 같다.
You always resist the Holy Spirit! 너희는 항상 성령께 반항한다.

52. Was there ever a prophet your ancestors did not persecute?
너희 조상들이 박해하지 않았던 선지자가 있었었나?
They even killed those who predicted the coming of the Righteous One.
그들은 심지어 의로운 자가 오신다는 것을 예언했던 자들을 죽였다.
And now you have betrayed and murdered him—
그리고 이제 너희는 그를 배반하여 죽였다.

53. you who have received the law that was given through angels but have not obeyed it.”
너희는 천사를 통해 주어진 율법을 받았으나 순종하지 않았다.

54. When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him.
산헤드린의 회원들이 이것을 듣고서 그들이 노하여 그를 향해 이를 갈았다.

7:55 But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.

그러나 성령으로 충만한 스데반은 하늘을 올려다 보았고 하나님의 영광과 하나님의 우편에 서 계신 예수를 보았다.

7:56 "Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God."

그가 말했다. "보라, 나는 하늘이 열리고 하나님의 우편에 서 계신 인자를 본다."

7:57 At this they covered their ears and, yelling at the top of their voices, they all rushed at him,

이에 그들은 귀를 막고 그들이 낼 수 있는 가장 큰 소리로 외치며 그에게 달려 들었다.

7:58 dragged him out of the city and began to stone him. 

그를 도시 밖으로 끌고 나가 돌로 치기 시작했다.

Meanwhile, the witnesses laid their clothes at the feet of a young man named Saul.

한편, 증인들이 사울이라고 이름하는 젊은이의 발 앞에 그들의 옷을 놓았다.

7:59 While they were stoning him, 그들이 그에게 돌을 던지고 있는 동안

Stephen prayed, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit."

스데반은 "주 예수여, 내 영혼을 받으소서."라고 기도했다.

7:60 Then he fell on his knees and cried out,

그때 그는 무릎을 꿇고 외쳤다.

 "Lord, do not hold this sin against them." 

주님, 이 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 마소서.

When he had said this, he fell asleep.

그는 이것을 말하고서, 잠들었다.
