“Read the room first”
To our sorry, some people come to E-club bulletin board here for the first time
but leave ill-mannered comments to the existing member’s English, in some cases.
(유감스럽게도, 영어방 게시판에 처음으로 오는 사람들이 기존 회원들의 영어에 대해서
무례한 댓글을 남기는 경우가 있다)
I’d like to advise those people to read the room first before leaving any kind of messages.
Now, let’s make a sentence using the idiom “read the room”, shall we?
첫댓글 If you have a girl in your mind, please read the room first before getting to her.
I don't have a woman in mind. ㅎㅎ
But I should read room of this engl room well
and be carefull.
Having no woman in your mind does not necessarily mean
"No interests in women", I believe …^&^
Many thanks for your continuous attention to E-club postings.
@이젠백 Yes, E club is better than E room.
I am impressed with the level of English in this cafe. When it comes to reading the room, isn't it used in a group setting more than individual setting?
As you mentioned, the idiom is more useful and applicable when in a group gathering.
Anyhow, it looks like that you’re a newcomer to this E-club room and good at English.
It’s an honor to have you with us here and welcome you!!
And your nickname sounds very romantic.
I believe your showing up is a signal that warm Spring comes soon …^&^
@이젠백 Thank you for your hospitality...
Welcome to the E-club.
Please come here often and share our thoughts.. ^^
That's a good expression~~
Words represent the person's personality.
There is a good way to know how much we intercept other's words, whether we use a lot of negative or positive language, or whether we speak with consideration for others.
The phone has a function of recording calls.
Listen to it again!!
Then we can know our speaking style.
Let's communicate well and be happy together ~
Sure… the words represent one’s personality.
We often say the reason why we have two ears but a single mouth is for
"Speak less but hear much"
Words don’t come easy…^&^

@이젠백 Wow, it's my favorite song ~^^
@이젠백 What a nice music..^^
When I go to a strange meeting, I need to know the essence of that meeting..
So I must read the room first..
In my case, I most likely try to break the room,
not to read the room first...^&^
I try to read the room ~~^^, ..
You do not need to try to read the room,
since you've already got to a master's level
whatever room you may be in...^^
I want to say something fresh using that idiom,
but I can't.
It's because my brain is black out.
Alas, It's better to drink a cup of coffee.ㅜ.ㅜ
Ummmm....That's too bad.
To get away from possible memory blackout,
modereate drinking "처음처럼" is the best,
instead of drinking a cup of coffee...
Believe it or not ...^&^
@이젠백 ㅍㅎㅎ 😆
That's your secret way ..
@이젠백
Aha, there is a way like that.
You must be a genius. haha
@이젠백 ㅎㅎ
Yup. the Ssoju can be a cure-all medicine and elixir from time to time.
I do believe. .
@해뜰 In due time ... ^&^
