8:31 "How can I," he said, "unless someone explains it to me?"

"누군가 내게 설명해 주지 않으면 내가 어떻게 알겠는가?"하고 그가 말했다.

So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

그래서 그는 빌립을 올라와서 그와 함께 앉도록 초대했다. 

8:32 The eunuch was reading this passage of Scripture:

그 내시는 이 성경구절을 읽고 있는 중이었다.

 "He was led like a sheep to the slaughter, 그는 도살자에게 양처럼 끌려갔다.

and as a lamb before the shearer is silent, 양털 깎는 사람 앞의 어린 양처럼 조용하다.

so he did not open his mouth. 그래서 그는 입을 열지 않았다.

8:34 The eunuch asked Philip, 그 내시는 빌립에게 물었다.

"Tell me, please, who is the prophet talking about, himself or someone else?"

제발 내게 말하라, 그 선지자는 누구에 대해 말하고 있는가? 그 자신인가, 아니면 다른 누구인가?

8:35 Then Philip began with that very passage of Scripture and told him the good news about Jesus. 그때 빌립은 성경의 바로 그 구절로 시작하여 예수에 대한 좋은 소식을 그에게 말해 주었다.

8:36 As they traveled along the road, 그들이 그 도로를 따라 여행할 때

they came to some water and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water.

그들은 물이 있는 곳에 왔고 그리고 그 내시는 "보라, 여기에 물이 있다."고 말했다.

Why shouldn't I be baptized?" 왜 내가 세례를 받지 말아야 하는가?

8:37 

8:38 And he gave orders to stop the chariot. 

그리고 그는 그 병거가 멈추도록 명령했다.

Then both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water 

그때 빌립과 그 내시 모두 물로 내려가서 

and Philip baptized him. 빌립은 그에게 세례를 주었다.

8:39 When they came up out of the water, 그들이 물에서 올라왔을 때

the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, 주님의 성령께서 빌립을 데려 가셨고

and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing.

그리고 그 내시는 다시 그를 보지 못했으나 그는 기뻐하며 그의 길을 갔다.

8:40 Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea. 그러나 빌립은 아조투스에 나타나 여러 마을을 돌아다니며 복음을 전파하다가 가이사랴에 이르렀다.
