The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport (Minister Park Sang-woo) and Incheon International Airport Corporation (President Lee Hak-jae) have announced the opening of a new 'Easy Drop' branch at the Korea Urban Airport building near Samsung Station in Seoul on Thursday, May 29th, to enhance passenger convenience at Incheon Airport.

The 'Easy Drop' service allows passengers to obtain their boarding passes and check-in their luggage at an off-site location before heading to the airport. Once at Incheon, they can bypass the regular check-in counters and proceed directly to the security checkpoint, enjoying a hassle-free travel experience.

Incheon International Airport Corporation plans to introduce a 'Fast Departure Service' for 'Easy Drop' users in June. This service will enable travelers to bypass the regular queues and access a dedicated lane for security checks, significantly reducing wait times and improving overall airport efficiency.

Currently, the 'Easy Drop' service is available for passengers departing on international flights operated by Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Jeju Air, and T'way Airlines from Incheon Airport. Starting June 1st, Jin Air passengers will also be able to utilize this convenient service. Existing service points include Holiday Inn Express Hotel near Hongdae Station (operational since December 2023), Inspire Resort in Incheon (operational since June 2024), Paradise City Hotel in Incheon (starting November 2024), and an upcoming location near Myeongdong Station (planned for November 2024).

At each 'Easy Drop' location, trained security personnel handle passenger identification, issue boarding passes, and assist with luggage check-in. The checked luggage is securely transported to Incheon Airport via specialized vehicles equipped with CCTV and advanced security systems, ensuring safe delivery to the designated baggage screening area. This initiative aims to streamline the travel process, reduce congestion at the airport, and enhance the overall passenger experience.

삼성역에서도 빈손 출국이 가능해진다!

국토교통부(장관 박상우)와 인천국제공항공사(사장 이학재)는 인천공항 이용 편의를 높이기 위해 5월 29일 서울 삼성역 인근 한국도심공항 건물 2층에 '이지 드롭(Easy Drop)' 신규 지점을 개장합니다.

이지 드롭은 공항 외부 장소에서 미리 탑승권을 발급받고 수하물을 위탁한 후, 해외 도착지에서 짐을 수령하는 서비스입니다. 승객들은 미리 짐을 맡기고 자유롭게 여행을 즐길 수 있으며, 인천공항에 도착한 후에는 별도의 체크인 카운터를 방문하지 않고 바로 출국장에 입장할 수 있습니다.

인천국제공항공사는 이지 드롭 이용객들에게 일반 출국장 대기열을 거치지 않고, 전용 출국 통로를 통해 보안 검색장으로 바로 입장할 수 있는 '빠른 출국 서비스'를 6월 중 제공할 계획입니다. 이를 통해 공항 대기 시간이 단축되고 여행객들의 편의가 크게 향상될 것으로 기대됩니다.

현재 이지 드롭 서비스는 인천공항에서 출발하는 대한항공, 아시아나항공, 제주항공, 티웨이항공 국제선 항공편 승객들이 이용할 수 있으며, 6월 1일부터는 진에어 승객들도 이용 가능합니다.

서비스 지점은 홍대입구역 인근(홀리데이인 익스프레스 호텔 '23년 12월~), 인천(인스파이어 리조트 '24년 6월~ / 파라다이스시티 호텔 '24년 11월~), 명동역 인근('24년 11월~)으로 확대되었습니다.

각 이지 드롭 지점에서는 보안 교육을 이수한 전문 요원들이 승객의 신분 확인, 발권, 수하물 위탁을 담당하며, 해당 수하물은 CCTV와 보안 설비가 장착된 특수 차량으로 인천공항으로 안전하게 운송되어 위탁 수하물 보안 검색대로 투입됩니다.
