Liow Yi Yang rates the players after South Korea's impressive 2-0 win over Greece.
Greece were comprehensively beaten by a hard working South Korean side who showed plenty of invention and graft.
South Korea
Jung Sung Ryong - 7
The 25-year-old produced some solid saves and was confident in the punch. Displayed why he replaced the evergreen Lee Woon Jae.
Cha Du Ri - 8
Great outlet on the right, provided tantalizing crosses and was resolute at the back. Excellent from the right back.
Cho Yong Hyung - 7
Dealt comfortably with the superior aerial abilities of the Greeks, kept things simple and was mostly faultless.
Lee Jung Soo - 7.5
Great awareness to score the first goal and was solid in defence. Could not ask for more from a central defender.
Lee Young Pyo - 7
The experienced player was vocal and marshalled his defence well. Provided some width down the left.
Lee Chung Yong - 7.5
Showed why he plays in the Barclays Premier League. Showed some great touches in midfield and almost nicked a goal for himself at the end.
Ki Sung Yueng - 7.5
Always made himself available in midfield and displayed plenty of intent going forward.
Kim Jung Woo - 7
Tidied things up for his team in central midfield, was neat in the pass and reliable throughout.
Park Ji Sung - 9
The captain led by example, tireless in midfield, he was rewarded with a clinically taken goal.
Park Chu Young - 8.5
Was a constant thorn in the Greek defence, a tad wasteful at times but looks a great prospect.
Yeom Ki Hun - 6
Huffed and puffed, created space for his teammates in attack. Decent shift from the forward.
Substitutes
Kim Nam ll (on 74' for Ki Sung Yueng) - 6
Did well after coming on, added some spark to a tiring South Korean side
Lee Seung Yeoul (on 87' for Park Chu Young)
No time to impress.
Kim Jae Sung (on 90' for Lee Chung Yong)
No time to impress.
Greece
Alexandros Tzorvas - 6
Had no chance with either goal but made some important saves for his team.
Vasileios Torosidis - 5
Missed a great chance and offered little going forward on the left.
Avraam Papadopoulos - 4
Very shaky at the back and left Tzorvas exposed countless times.
Loukas Vyntra - 3
Vyntra had an absolute stinker of a game that culminated in a mistake leading to the 2nd goal. Sotirios Krygiakos should have started in his place.
Giourkas Seitaridis - 4
Willing runner on the right but was terribly wasteful. Poor passes and crosses from him meant Greece failed to take advantage of some decent positions.
Georgios Samaras - 4
Drifted in and out of the game, showed a lack of urgency at times. Poor effort from the Celtic front man.
Alexandros Tziolis - 5
Made some decent runs but had a poor game by his standards.
Konstantinos Katsouranis - 4
Was not his usual self tonight. Failed to protect the back four and offered just about nothing going forward. Needs to improve if Greece are to qualify.
Georgios Karagounis - 5
Greek legend could not inspire his team and was taken off at half time
Angelos Charisteas - 5
Did not make his presence felt and was not aided by a lack of support
Theofanis Gekas - 6
He was living on scraps throughout the game but still managed to fashion a few chances for himself, the Greek's best player out there tonight
Substitutes
Christos Patsatzoglou (on 45' for Karagounis) - 5.5
Got involved in the midfield battle, won some tackles for his team.
Dimitrios Salpingidis (on 58' for Samaras) - 5
Did not inspire, just as the man he replaced
Pantelis Kapetanos (on 60' for Charisteas) - 5
Came on to little effect, had a shot on goal for the Greeks.
