9:22 Yet Saul grew more and more powerful and baffled(당황하게 했다) the Jews living in Damascus by proving that Jesus is the Christ.

그러나 사울은 점점 더 강력해졌고, 예수가 그리스도임을 증명함으로써 다메섹에 사는 유대인들을 당황하게 했다.

9:23 After many days had gone by, the Jews conspired to kill him,

여러 날이 지난 후에 유대인들은 그를 죽일 음모를 꾸몄다.

9:24 but Saul learned of their plan. 그러나 사울은 그들의 계획을 알아챘다.

Day and night they kept close watch on the city gates in order to kill him.

밤낮으로 그들은 그를 죽이려고 성문에서 계속 샅샅이 지켜보았다.

9:25 But his followers took him by night and lowered him in a basket through an opening in the wall.

그러나 그를 따르는 자들은 밤에 그를 취하여 바구니에 넣어 벽의 구멍을 통해 아래로 내려보냈다.

9:26 When he came to Jerusalem, he tried to join the disciples, 

그가 예루살렘으로 돌아가서 제자들과 합류하려고 시도했다.

but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he really was a disciple.

그러나 그들은 모두 그가 진정으로 제자가 된 것을 믿지 않았으므로 그를 두려워했다. 

9:27 But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles. 

그러나 바나바가 그를 데려가서 사도들에게 그를 데려왔다.

He told them how Saul on his journey had seen the Lord and that the Lord had spoken to him, and how in Damascus he had preached fearlessly in the name of Jesus.

그는 그들에게 사울이 그의 여행에서 어떻게 주님을 만났는지, 그리고 주님께서 그에게 말씀하셨던 것과 그리고 어떻게 다메섹에서 그가 예수의 이름을 두려움 없이 선포했는지 말했다.

9:28 So Saul stayed with them and moved about freely in Jerusalem, speaking boldly in the name of the Lord.

그리하여 사울은 그들과 함께 머물며 예루살렘을 자유롭게 돌아다니면서 주님의 이름으로 담대하게 말했다.

9:29 He talked and debated with the Grecian Jews, but they tried to kill him.

그는 헬라파 유대인들과 토론하고 논쟁했으나 그들은 그를 죽이려고 했다.

9:30 When the brothers learned of this, 형제들이 이것을 알았을 때

they took him down to Caesarea and sent him off to Tarsus.

그들은 그를 데리고 가이사랴로 내려가서 그를 다소로 보냈다.

9:31 Then the church throughout Judea, Galilee and Samaria enjoyed a time of peace.

그 후 유대, 갈릴리, 사마리아 전역의 교회는 평화로운 시기를 누렸다.

It was strengthened; and encouraged by the Holy Spirit, it grew in numbers, living in the fear of the Lord.

그 교회는 성령의 격려와 힘을 받았고, 주님을 경외하는 삶을 살므로 성장했다.

9:32 As Peter traveled about the country, he went to visit the saints in Lydda.

베드로는 여러 나라를 여행하면서 룻다에 있는 성도들을 방문하러 갔다.
