역사의 한 교훈은, 인간은 도무지 역사를 통해 배우려고 하지 않는 다는 것입니다. 어리석음은 반복 됩니다.성경의 역사도 동일합니다. 형태는 다르지만 그들의 실패는 오늘도 계속 됩니다. 그러나 그 속에 변치 않는 것이 또 있습니다. 자신의 사람들을 대하는 주님의 마음과 태도입니다. 공주야! 예수님과 제자들이 함께 유월절 식사를 한다. 이렇듯 제자들은 예수님과 친밀하게 교제하는 특권을 누리고 있었지만, 여전히 그 안에는 예수님을 배신하고 부인할 제자들과 서로 높아지려고 경쟁하는 제자들이 있었다. 그들을 온전한 제자 되게 하는 것은 무엇인가?

One lesson of history is that humans do not try to learn from history. Silence repeats itself. The history of the Bible is the same. They come in different forms, but their failures continue today. But there is another thing that does not change. It is the Lord's heart and attitude toward his people. Princess! Jesus and his disciples eat together for the Passover. As such, the disciples enjoyed the privilege of intimate companionship with Jesus, but there were still disciples in it who were competing to rise above each other with those who would betray and deny him. What makes them the perfect disciples?

고난과 배반이 예고되어 있는 데도 제자들은 서열 다툼에 여념이 없다. 예수님의 죽으심보다는 그분이 세우실 ‘나라’(16)에 만 관심이 있었고, 그리스도를 정치적 군주로, 그 나라를 눈에 보이는 나라로 오해하였다. 듣고 싶은 말씀(나라)만 듣고, 그것을 자의적으로 취했을 뿐, 들어야 할 말씀(고난)은 듣지 않았다. 말씀을 오해하고 오용 하는 곳에는 주의 나라와 뜻은 없고, 자기 주장과 사리사욕만 있다. 새 언약을 맺은 하나님 나라 백성의 삶은 군림하고 높아지려는 세상과 달라야 한다.

Despite the prediction of hardship and treachery, the disciples are busy fighting for rank. Rather than the death of Jesus, he was only interested in the 'country' (16) that he would establish, and misunderstood Christ as a political monarch and that country as a visible country. He only heard what he wanted to hear (the country), took it arbitrarily, and did not listen to what he had to hear (the hardship). Where there is a misunderstanding and misuse of words, there is no will with the kingdom of the Lord, but only self-claim and self interest. The life of the people of the kingdom of God, who made a new covenant, must be different from the world that is about to reign and rise.

자리다툼 하는 제자들 가운데서 ‘섬기는 자’로 계신 예수님처럼, 강한 자만 살아남는 전쟁 터 같은 세상에서 섬기는 자로 살기를 바라신다. 하나님 나라는 그처럼 예수님의 십자가 삶, 섬기는 삶에 동차한 제자들에게 맡겨질 것이다. 하나님 나라는 힘으로 다스리는 나라가 아니라 사랑으로 다스리는 나라이며, 약한 자들의 숨죽이는 평화가 아니라 모두가 하나님의 형상으로 존귀하게 여김을 받는 평화이기 때문이다.

Like Jesus, who is a "serving man" among the disciples fighting for seats, he wants to live as a servant in a war-like world where only strong people survive. The kingdom of God will be left to the disciples who are equal to the life of Jesus' cross and life of service. This is because the kingdom of God is not a country ruled by power, but by love, and not by the breathless peace of the weak, but a peace in which everyone is cherished in the image of God.

세상은 군림 하면서도 명성(25)‘을 얻기 원하고 십자가를 거치지 않고도 영광을 취할 수 있다고 장담하지만, 섬김 없이 존귀가 없고, 고난 없이 영광도 없다. 예수님은 사탄의 집요하고 거센 시험 속에서 베드로의 믿음이 떨어지지 않기를 기도하신다. 예수님의 기도는 제자들을 향한 예수님의 섬김이다. 하지만 베드로는 자신의 연역함을 인정하지 않았고 사탄의 공격에 자신이 노출 되어 있는 것도 몰랐다.

I guarantee that the world reigns and wants fame (25) and can achieve glory without going through the cross, but there is no honor without service, and there is no glory without hardship. Jesus prays that Peter's faith will not fall in the persistent and fierce test of Satan. Jesus' prayer is his service to his disciples. However, Peter did not acknowledge his dedication and did not know that he was exposed to Satan's attacks.

어디든 함께, 옥에도 함께, 죽는데도 가기를 각오하였다는 베드로의 ’비장함‘보다 변함없이 그를 붙드시는 주의 ’신실함‘이 있었기에, 베드로는 믿음을 되찾고 형제를 굳게 세우는 자로 회복될 수 있었다. 닭 울기 전에 그가 세 번 부인할 것을 예수님은 아셨지만, 그를 향한 기도와 기대를 포기하지 않으셨다. 그 사랑의 기다림이 그를 다시 온전한 자리로 회복시킨 것이다. 예수님의 섬김이 제자들을 섬기는 자로 세웠다. 십자가 시험 앞에서 제자들을 지키고 살리는 것은 무엇인가?

Peter was able to regain faith and restore his faith as a man who firmly established his brother, because of the Lord's Faith in him, rather than Peter's Dignity, who was determined to go anywhere together, to prison, and to die. Jesus knew that he would deny three times before roaring, but he did not give up his prayers and expectations for him. The wait for love restored him to his full position. Jesus' service established him as a servant of his disciples. What is keeping and saving his disciples before the crucifixion?

내가 인식하지 못 할 때에도 나를 위해 기도하셨으며, 내 온전함을 위해 지금도 일하시는 주님께 감사를 드립니다. 내가 은혜를 입었은즉 돌이킨 후에 형제를 굳게 하라고 하신 것을 기억하며 살게 하시고 타락하지 않도록 끝까지 지켜주옵소서.

I thank the Lord, who prayed for me even when I did not recognize it, and who still works for my integrity. Let me live with the grace that I have given to you, and that you must strengthen your brother after turning back, and keep it to the end so that it will not be corrupted.
