Did you ever wish you could become One with nature? Seoulites live in a beautiful world. I enjoyed walking tour in the Bukchon Hanok Village with Mr.Cho,young-hee(a hiseoul greeter). "Koreans want to be one with nature," He said. "We can read the idea from the Hanok and Korean traditional culture." Though many of the traditional houses in Seoul area have gradually disappeared with passing time, the Bukchon Hanok Village is one of the few remaining sites that are relatively well-preserved. The scene of traditional hanok and modern hanok in harmonic order is very beautiful. Harmony and Eco-friendly is the main view point when Korean made Hanok. There are so many curved lines in Hanok. A curved line is dynamic, ever changing. It has more contrast than a straight line and it is more naturalistic. Renate Soeder 2010.06.09
