미국인들이 힘들었던 여행을 다녀오거나 혹은 마라톤 후에 찍은 사진을 보면 

위와 같은 문장을 자주 보게 된다.

one piece 라면 여성들이 즐겨입는 위 아래가 연결된 옷이니까,

원피스를 입고 뭘 했다는 말일까?

Definition of "in one piece" :

without being hurt or damaged. uninjured or unharmed; fully intact.

"in one piece" 는 온전히, 다친 곳 없이, 별 탈 없이 라는 뜻이다.

즉, 하나의 조각 (one piece) 인 상태이니까 온전하다는 말이다.

만일, 우리의 몸이 두 세 조각이 나 버렸다면 ....

우리는 모두 무사히 해냈다.

거기에 도착하면 전화해, 알았지?
