Bible Reading - Acts 10:21~29

10:21 Peter went down and said to the men, 베드로가 내려가서 그 사람들에게 말했다.

"I'm the one you're looking for. Why have you come?"

내가 너희가 찾고 있는 그 사람이다. 왜 너희는 왔는가?

10:22 The men replied, 그 사람들이 대답했다.

"We have come from Cornelius the centurion. 우리는 백부장 고넬료로부터 왔습니다. 

He is a righteous and God-fearing man, who is respected by all the Jewish people. 

그는 모든 유대인들에게 존경받는 의롭고 하나님을 경외하는 사람입니다. 

A holy angel told him to have you come to his house so that he could hear what you have to say."

거룩한 천사가 그에게 당신을 집으로 초대하여 당신의 이야기를 들어보라고 전했습니다.

10:23 Then Peter invited the men into the house to be his guests. 

그때에 베드로는 그의 손님들이 되도록  집 안으로 그 사람들을 초대했다.

The next day Peter started out with them, 다음 날 베드로는 그들과 함께 출발하였고

and some of the brothers from Joppa went along. 형제들 중 얼마가 욥바에서 함께 갔다.

10:24 The following day he arrived in Caesarea. 

그 다음 날 그는 가이사랴에 도착했다.

Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends.

고넬료는 그들이 오기를 기대하여 그의 친척들과 가까운 친구들을 함께 불렀다.

10:25 As Peter entered the house, 베드로가 그 집에 들어갔을 때

Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.

고넬료는 그를 만나 존중함으로 그의 발 앞에 엎드렸다.

10:26 But Peter made him get up. 그러나 베드로는 그를 일으켜 세웠다. 

"Stand up," he said, "I am only a man myself." " 일어서라. 나 자신은 오직 사람일 뿐이다."

10:27 Talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.

그와 말하며 베드로는 안으로 들어가서 많은 사람들이 모여있는 것을 발견했다.

10:28 He said to them: 그가 그들에게 말했다.

"You are well aware that it is against our law for a Jew to associate with a Gentile or visit him. 

유대인이 이방인과 교제하거나 방문하는 것은 우리 율법에 어긋난다는 것을 당신도 잘 알고 계실 것입니다.

But God has shown me that I should not call any man impure or unclean.

그러나 하나님께서 내가 어떤 사람도 부정하거나 깨끗하지 않다고 말하지 말아야 한다고 내게 보여주셨습니다.

10:29 So when I was sent for, I came without raising any objection. 

그래서 내가 보내어졌을 때, 나는 어떤 반대도 없이 왔습니다.

May I ask why you sent for me?" 나를 부르신 이유를 물어봐도 될까요?
