The topic of my presentation today lies on the one book, titled "China Shakes the World"
In this book, there is a ton of valuable information.
The first chapter of this book largely focuses on how china has affected and is affecting other nations around
the world with its rise.
I would like to deliver some story from this book.
To understand these forces better, It is necessary to delve into a crucial yet often misunderstood passage of history.
In the popular imagination, the launch of China's economic reforms in 1978 was a planned, top-down affair managed by a
man who is often called the architect of the country's emergence, Deng Xiaoping. According to this version of events,
Beijing has all along been cleverly manipulating a master plan that has delivered structured, gradual free- market reforms.
But the reality has not been so neat. Many of the key events and occurances that propelled forward progress toward capitalism
were, in fact, unplaned, unintended , or completely accidental. It is undeniable that the 1980s, the decade of Deng, brought genuine
and deep-seated chage that improve the lives of hundreds of millions of chinese. But on closer inspection it turns out that much
of the crucial impetus behind the creation of wealth during this period sprang not so much from the implementation as from the
miscarrage of central government policies.
Thank you~!
