10:39 "We are witnesses of everything he did in the country of the Jews and in Jerusalem.

우리는 유대와 예루살렘에서 그가 행하셨던 모든 것의 증인들이다.

They killed him by hanging him on a tree, 그들은 나무에 그를 매달아 죽였다.
10:40 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.

그러나 하나님께서 그를 삼일 만에 죽은 자 가운데서 살리시고 사람들이 그를 보게 하셨다.

10:41 He was not seen by all the people, 그는 모든 사람들에게 나타나지 않으셨으나

but by witnesses whom God had already chosen-- 하나님께서 이미 택하셨던 증인들에게

 by us who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead.

그가 죽은 자들 가운데 다시 사신 후에 그와 함께 먹고 마셨던 우리들에게 (나타나셨다.)

10:42 He commanded us to preach to the people and to testify that he is the one whom God appointed as judge of the living and the dead.

그는 산자와 죽은 자들의 심판자로서 하나님께서 임명하셨던 그 분이라는 것을 우리가 사람들에게 선포하고 증거하도록 우리에게 명령하셨다.

10:43 All the prophets testify about him that everyone who believes in him receives forgiveness of sins through his name."

모든 선지자들은 그에 대해 증거하며 또 그를 믿는 모든 사람들이 그의 이름을 통하여 죄 사함을 받는 것을 증거한다.

10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message.

베드로가 여전히 이 말씀들을 말하고 있는 중에 성령께서 그 메시지를 들었던 모든 사람들에게 임했다.

10:45 The circumcised believers who had come with Peter 베드로와 함께 왔던 할례받은 신자들은

were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles.

성령의 선물이 심지어 이방인들에게 부어지는 것에 대단히 놀라워했다. 

10:46 For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. 

그들은 그들이 방언을 말하는 것과 하나님을 찬양하는 것을 들었다.

Then Peter said, 그때 베드로가 말했다.

10:47 "Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? 

어떤 사람이 이 사람들이 물세례를 받는 것을 막을 수 있을까?

They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have."

그들은 우리가 받았던 것처럼 성령을 받았다.

10:48 So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. 

그래서 그는 그들이 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받도록 했다.

Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days.

그리고 나서 그들은 베드로가 며칠동안 그들과 머물기를 요청했다.
