Bible Reading - Acts 11:11~20

11:11 "Right then(바로 그때) three men who had been sent to me from Caesarea

바로 그때, 가이사랴에서 나에게 보내어진 세 사람이 

 stopped at the house where I was staying. 내가 머물고 있는 그 집에서 멈췄다.

11:12 The Spirit told me to have no hesitation about going with them. 

성령께서 내가 그들과 함께 가는 것에 대해 주저하지 말라고 말씀하셨다.

These six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man's house.

이 여섯 형제들 또한 그들과 함께 가서 그 사람의 집으로 들어갔다.

11:13 He told us how he had seen an angel appear in his house 

그가 어떻게 그의 집에 천사가 나타났는지 우리에게 말했고

and say, 'Send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.

그리고 말하기를 '베드로라고 불리우는 시몬을 찾으러 보내라."고 하였다.

11:14 He will bring you a message through which you and all your household will be saved.'

그는 당신과 당신의 온 가족이 구원받을 수 있는 메시지를 전해주실 것이다.

11:15 "As I began to speak, 내가 말하기를 시작했을 때에 

the Holy Spirit came on them as he had come on us at the beginning.

처음에 성령께서 우리에게 오셨던 것처럼 그들에게도 오셨다.

11:16 Then I remembered what the Lord had said:

그때 나는 주님께서 말씀하셨던 것을 기억했다.

'John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.'

요한은 물로 세례를 베풀었으나 너희는 성령으로 세례를 받을 것이다. 

11:17 So if God gave them the same gift as he gave us, who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, 

그래서 만일 하나님께서 주 예수 그리스도를 믿는 우리에게 주셨던 동일한 은사를 그들에게 주셨다면

who was I to think that I could oppose God?" 내가 하나님을 반대할 수 있을 것인가를 생각했다.

11:18 When they heard this, 그들이 이것을 들었을 때

they had no further objections and praised God,  그들은 더 이상 반대하지 않고 하나님을 찬양했다.

saying, "So then, God has granted even the Gentiles repentance unto life."

말하기를 "그러면 하나님께서도 생명으로 인도하는 회개를 심지어 이방인들에게도 허락하셨다." 

11:19 Now those who had been scattered by the persecution in connection with Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, telling the message only to Jews.

이제 스데반과 연관하여 박해로 흩어졌던 사람들이 오직 유대인들에게만 메시지를 전하면서 페니키아, 키프로스, 그리고 안디옥까지 여행했다.

11:20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch 

그러나 그들 중에 몇 사람이 키프로스 와 키레네에서 안디옥으로 갔고

and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus.

주 예수에 대한 좋은 소식을 그리스 사람들에게도 말하기 시작했다.
