Stories stepped off the page during Book Week at Nexus, as learners arrived dressed as their favourite literary characters from Harry Potter and Alice in Wonderland to figures inspired by The Lord of the Rings, the historical worlds of Hilary Mantel and many more imaginative creations.

Book Week Character Dress Up is more than just costumes. It brings stories to life and encourages learners to explore the books behind the characters they admire. By stepping into these roles, learners deepen their connection to reading while developing creativity, confidence and self-expression‎.

Across the book week, learners also took part in a range of activities and reading experiences, including Extreme Reading competitions, Drop Everything and Read moments, Reading Buddies and Bedtime Reading Day and a special Book Week assembly.

Moments like these reflect the joy of learning at Nexus, where curiosity is celebrated and stories inspire new ideas, imagination and discovery.
