(23) March 24 (Saturday) , Sagres - Sines

The dawn in Sagres, the southernmost city of Portugal, was clear. Watching the sunrise over the Mediterranean evokes a special feeling. My wife enjoys watching the sunrise wherever we go. Where is this place? In faraway Portugal, on the southwestern edge of Sagres, we hurried down to the coast to see the sunrise from the coastal cliffs.                 

                      At 9 a.m., the Sagres fortress gate opens and we go inside. There stands a small lighthouse. It protects the ships sailing in this place, where there are always strong winds and rough waves.

                         Three men and women are standing along a coastal cliff. It seems to be a cliff over about 50 meters high.

 The main course approaches toward the fisherman... (Mr.Jeong drifts into the Mediterranean, the fisherman into the Atlantic)

Mrs. Jung is taking a tee shot at a nearby golf course, enjoying her weekend after a long time.

                                                           Mrs. Pyo's putted ball is pleasantly heading toward the hole...

However, playing golf during the trip was somewhat exhausting. The area was very windy, and due to fatigue, my performance wasn't very good.

We departed at 4 PM and drove about 130 km north along the narrow coastal road, arriving late at night in Sines, the hometown of the navigator (maritime explorer) Vasco da Gama.
The total distance traveled so far is 3,680 km.

(23) 3월24일(토) 여정: Sagres- Sines

폴투칼 최 남단의 도시 Sagres의 새벽은 맑았다.

지중해에서 떠오르는 해돋이를 보는 것은 남다른 감흥이 난다. 

아내는 어디를 가나 해돋이 보는 것을 좋아한다. 여기가 어딘가? 이역만리 폴루칼의

서남단 Sagres해안 벽 위에서 보는 해돋이를 보러 종종 걸음으로 해안가로 간다.

                                              아침 9시 Sagres성문이 열리고 들어가다. 조그마한 등대하나가 서있다.

                                           언제나 강한 바람과 거친 파도가 있는 이곳을 항해하는 배를 보호하고 있다.

                                                                        남단 해안 벽쪽으로 걸어 간다.

                                                     3 남녀가 해안 절벽을 따라 서 있다. 한 50여m이상의 절벽인 것 같다.

                                                   정공은 낙시꾼 쪽으로 접근하면서....(정공은 지중해, 낚싯꾼은 대서양

                                                  에 드리우다)

                                                  오랜만에 주말을 맞이해서 인근 골프장에서 Tee Shot을 하는 Mrs.정

그러나 여행 중의 Golf는 좀 힘이 들었다. 바람이 강하게 부는 곳이라

그리고 피로한 관계로 성적은 그다지 좋지 않았다.

오후 4시 출발하여 130여 Km 북 쪽으로 해안가의 좁은 길을 따라 드리이브 하여

밤 늦게 Navigator(해양 탐험가)바스코 다 가마의 고향 Sines에 도착하였다.

지금가지 온 총 거리는 3,680Km이다.
