Bible Reading - Acts 13:1~10

13:1 In the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul.

안디옥  교회에 선지자들과 교사들이 있었다.

그들은 바나바, 니게르라고 불리우는 시므온, 키레네 사람 루시우스, (헤롯과 함께 자랐던)마나엔 그리고 사울이었다.

13:2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, 그들이 주님께 예배하고 금식하고 있는 동안

the Holy Spirit said, "Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them."

성령께서 "나를 위하여 바나바와 사울을 내가 그들을 불러서 맡긴 사역을 위해 구별해 두어라."고 말씀하셨다.

13:3 So after they had fasted and prayed, 그래서 그들이 금식하고 기도한 후에 

they placed their hands on them and sent them off. 그들은 안수하여 그들을 보냈다.

13:4 The two of them, sent on their way by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia and sailed from there to Cyprus.

성령께서 그들의 길로 보내셨던 그들 중에 두 사람은 셀류시아로 내려가서 거기서 키프로스로 배를 타고 여행했다.

13:5 When they arrived at Salamis, 그들이 살라미스에 도착했을 때에 

they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues.

그들은 유대인의 회당에서 하나님의 말씀을 선포했다. 

John was with them as their helper. 요한이 그들의 도우미로 그들과 함께 있었다.

13:6 They traveled through the whole island until they came to Paphos. 

그들은 바보에 이르기까지 모든 땅을 두루 여행했다.

There they met a Jewish sorcerer and false prophet named Bar-Jesus,
13:7 who was an attendant of the proconsul, Sergius Paulus.

그곳에서 그들은 총독 서기오 바울의 시종이던 유대인 마술사이자 거짓 예언자인 바-예수를 만났다.

The proconsul, an intelligent man, sent for Barnabas and Saul because he wanted to hear the word of God. 똑똑한 총독은 하나님의 말씀을 듣고 싶어 바나바와 사울을 불러들였다.

13:8 But Elymas the sorcerer (for that is what his name means) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul from the faith.

그러나 마법사 엘루마(그의 이름의 뜻은 마법사)는 그들에게 반대하며 총독이 신앙을 버리도록 설득하려 했다.

13:9 Then Saul, who was also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked straight at Elymas and said, 그때 바울이라고 또한 불리어졌던 사울이 성령으로 충만하여 엘루마를 똑 바로 쳐다보고 말했다. 

13:10 "You are a child of the devil and an enemy of everything that is right! 

너는 악마의 자식이며 모든 옳은 것의 적이다!

You are full of all kinds of deceit and trickery(기만). 너는 온갖 속임수와 기만술로 가득 차 있다.

Will you never stop perverting(왜곡하고 있는) the right ways of the Lord?

너는 주님의 올바른 길을 왜곡하는 일을 결코 멈추지 않을 것인가?
