Bible Reading - Acts 13:11~20

13:11 Now the hand of the Lord is against you. 지금 주님의 손이 너를 대항하고 있다.

You are going to be blind, 너는 눈이 멀게 되며

and for a time you will be unable to see the light of the sun."

잠시 동안 너는 태양 빛을 볼 수 없을 것이다. 

 Immediately mist and darkness came over him, 즉시 안개와 어둠이 그의 위에 내려앉았고

 and he groped(더듬다) about, seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

그는 손을 잡아줄 누군가를 찾으려고 더듬거렸다.

13:12 When the proconsul saw what had happened, 총독이 일어난 일을 보았을 때

he believed, for he was amazed at the teaching about the Lord.

그는 믿고 그가 주님에 대해 가르치는 것에 대해 놀라워했다.

13:13 From Paphos, Paul and his companions sailed to Perga in Pamphylia, where John left them to return to Jerusalem.

바울과 그의 일행은 바보에서 배를 타고 밤빌리아의 버가로 갔고, 그곳에서 요한은 그들과 헤어져 예루살렘으로 돌아갔다.

13:14 From Perga they went on to Pisidian Antioch. 버가에서 그들은 비시디아 안디옥으로 갔다.

On the Sabbath they entered the synagogue and sat down. 안식일에 그들은 회당에 들어가 앉았다.

13:15 After the reading from the Law and the Prophets, 율법과 선지서들을 읽은 후에 

the synagogue rulers sent word to them, 회당장이 그들에게 전언(말을 전)했다. 

saying, "Brothers, if you have a message of encouragement for the people, please speak."

말하기를 " 형제들이여, 만일 너희가 사람들을 위한 격려의 메시지를 가지고 있다면, 부디 말하라."

13:16 Standing up, Paul motioned with his hand 바울이 일어서면서 그의 손짓을 보냈다.

and said: "Men of Israel and you Gentiles who worship God, listen to me!

그리고 말하기를 "이스라엘 사람들과 하나님께 예배하는 너희 이방인들아, 나의 말을 들으라!"

13:17 The God of the people of Israel chose our fathers;

이스라엘 사람들의 하나님께서 우리 조상들을 택하셨다.

he made the people prosper during their stay in Egypt, 

그는 사람들이 이집트에서 머무는 동안 번성하게 하셨으며

with mighty power he led them out of that country,

강한 능력으로 그는 그 나라에서 인도하여 내셨으며

13:18 he endured their conduct for about forty years in the desert,

사막에서 40년 동안 그들의 행위를 견디셨다.

13:19 he overthrew seven nations in Canaan

그는 가나안에 있는 일곱 나라들을 뒤집어 엎으셨으며

 and gave their land to his people as their inheritance.

그의 백성들에게 유산으로 그들(가나안 사람들)의 땅을 주셨다.

13:20 All this took about 450 years.이 모든 것은 대략 450년이 걸렸다.

 "After this, God gave them judges until the time of Samuel the prophet.

이후에, 하나님은 사무엘 선지자의 때까지 사사들을 그들에게 주셨다.
