Bible Reading - Acts 13:21~31

21. Then the people asked for a king, and he gave them Saul son of Kish, of the tribe of Benjamin, who ruled forty years. 그때 사람들은 왕을 요구했고 그는 그들에게 40년 동안 통치했던 베냐민 지파의 기스의 아들이었던 사울을 주었다.

22. After removing Saul, he made David their king.
사울을 제거한 후에 그는 다윗을그들의 왕으로 만들었다.
God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’
하나님께서 그에 대해 이렇게 증언하셨다. ‘내가 이새의 아들 다윗을 찾았으니 그는 내 마음에 맞는 사람이라. 그가 내가 원하는 모든 것을 행할 것이다.’

 
13:23 "From this man's descendants God has brought to Israel the Savior Jesus, as he promised.
이 사람의 자손들로부터 하나님은 그가 약속하셨던 것처럼 구세주 예수를 이스라엘로 데려오셨다.

13:24 Before the coming of Jesus, 예수께서 오시기 전에 
John preached repentance and baptism to all the people of Israel.
요한은 회개와 모든 이스라엘 백성들에게 세례를 선포(설교)했다.

13:25 As John was completing his work, 요한은 그의 일을 마쳤을 때에 
he said: 'Who do you think I am? I am not that one.
그가 말했다. "너는 내가 누구라고 생각하느냐? 나는 그 사람이 아니다.
No, but he is coming after me, whose sandals I am not worthy to untie.'
아니다, 그러나 그는 내 뒤에 오는 중이며 나는 그의 신발을 풀 자격이 없다.

13:26 "Brothers, children of Abraham, and you God-fearing Gentiles,
형제들, 아브라함의 자손들, 그리고 하나님을 경외하는 이방인들아. 
it is to us that this message of salvation has been sent.
이 구원의 메시지가 우리에게 보내어졌다.

13:27 The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, 
예루살렘 사람들과 그들의 관원들은 예수를 인정하지 않았다.
yet in condemning him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.
그러나 그들이 그를 정죄함으로써, 매주 안식일에 낭독되는 예언자들의 말씀을 성취하였다.

13:28 Though they found no proper ground for a death sentence, 
비록 그들은 사형을 선고할 만한 적절한 근거를 찾지 못했지만,
they asked Pilate to have him executed. 그들은 빌라도가 그를 사형을 처하도록 요구했다.

13:29 When they had carried out all that was written about him, 
그들이 그에 대해 기록된 모든 것을 실행했을 때,
they took him down from the tree and laid him in a tomb.
그들은 그를 나무에서 내려 무덤에 놓았다.

13:30 But God raised him from the dead, 그러나 하나님은 죽은 자들 가운데 그를 높이셨다.

13:31 and for many days he was seen by those who had traveled with him from Galilee to Jerusalem.
갈릴리에서 예루살렘까지 그와 함께 여행했던 사람들은 여러 날 동안 그를 볼 수 있었다.
They are now his witnesses to our people. 그들은 지금 우리의 사람들에게 그의 증인이 되었다.
