Meet Ms Alicia, our music teacher for Tenby International Primary School, Setia Eco Gardens (Johor)

As an aspiring educator, Alicia has over 8 years of music teaching experience to a broad range of students ranging from infants to university level. Alicia earned both her Master of Education in Music Education Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance with a specialisation in Piano from the State University of New York at Buffalo, US. She has currently completed 6 professional levelled certification courses in Kodály philosophy from The Cuskelly College of Music and the Music Learning Theory approach from The Gordon Institute for Music Learning.

Since joining Tenby Schools Setia Eco Gardens (Johor) in 2019, Alicia’s dedication to teaching has been accredited and she stood out among 13,000 entries to be shortlisted among the Top 60 in the 2021 Dedicated Teacher Awards by Cambridge University Press. She strongly believes that every student has the potential to learn and achieve in music, hence she is constantly motivated to provide a loving, resourceful and inclusive music learning environment to all her students.
