UPDATE — Additional Details Added
I realized that two important parts of the morning theory session were missing from my original post, so I have added them below.
1. Feeling the connection between the hand and the target point
2. Three deep breaths, the diaphragm, and changes in internal pressure
The original post continues below.
The Three Laws of Nature → Taegeuk and Wave Patterns → The Connection Between the Hand and the Target Point → Experiencing How the Energy of Nature Guides the Hand → Three Deep Breaths → The Diaphragm and Changes in Internal Pressure → Kimu, Sword Practice, and Healing Practice Follow the Same Principle → Direct Experience of Sinchim Practice → Chris’s Experience 15 Years Ago and His Role Today → The True Purpose Is Not Treatment, but a Change in Consciousness and Life → Gratitude to Carla
July 6, 2026 — The Final Day in the Netherlands: Healing Practice
Today was the final day of our 2026 event in the Netherlands, and we devoted this day to Healing Practice.
In the morning, I first explained the basic theory behind this practice.
Everything in nature follows three basic movements:
It appears.
It changes.
It disappears.
Our practice is, in a way, a small model of the universe.
Through practice, we try to understand and directly experience these three basic laws of nature.
Using the Yin and Yang principle of the Taegeuk and the movement of wave patterns, I explained how energy appears, changes, moves, and disappears.
I also explained two important principles before we began the actual Sinchim Practice.
1. Feel the connection and follow the movement
When holding a toothpick or an acupuncture needle and moving toward one of the numbered points on the palm, we should not simply look at the number and move the hand there by our own intention.
First, we try to feel the connection between the hand holding the toothpick or needle and the target point on the palm.
There are different ways to describe this experience.
We can say:
“The energy of nature takes my hand and leads it to the target point.”
Or we can say:
“The energy of light surrounds my hand and teaches it where and how to move.”
The words may be different, but the important principle is the same.
Do not decide everything with your mind and force your hand to move.
First, feel the connection.
Then feel the movement.
And follow it.
I do not force the movement.
I allow myself to be guided by it.
This is the same principle that we use in Kimu Practice, Sword Practice, and Healing Practice.
Follow the Energy.
2. Prepare the body with three deep breaths
Before using the toothpick or acupuncture needle, we first take a preparation posture and breathe deeply three times.
I explained one of the physical principles behind this breathing.
As we breathe in and out, the diaphragm moves up and down.
This movement continuously creates changes in pressure between the upper and lower parts of the body.
The changing pressure helps activate movement and flow inside the body.
So these three deep breaths are not only for calming the mind.
They also prepare the body by changing the internal pressure and activating the flow within us.
In this way, the body becomes better prepared to feel and follow the movement of energy.
This is why I explained once again that:
Kimu Practice, Sword Practice, and Healing Practice are not separate things.
They may look different from the outside, but they all follow the same principle.
When we hold a sword,
when we practice Kimu,
and when we hold an acupuncture needle—
the principle is the same.
Feel the connection.
Feel the movement.
Do not force it.
Follow the Energy,
which is Muwi.
In the afternoon, we moved from theory to direct experience.
We placed acupuncture needles in the palms so that the participants could experience the movement of energy for themselves.
Chris from Greece is the only student who experienced this Sinchim Practice, learned it from me, and continued to follow this training for about 15 years.
Today, he is the representative of Haedong Kumdo in Greece.
Chris also shared a very special experience from about 15 years ago.
At that time, I visited his home.
His father had suffered from a nerve problem for more than ten years and could not feel part of one ankle and foot.
I placed only a few needles in his palm.
Immediately afterward, his father suddenly collapsed and briefly lost consciousness.
When he woke up, something unexpected had happened.
The feeling had returned to the area that had been numb for more than ten years.
Chris still remembers that experience clearly, and today he told the story directly to the participants.
Now, about 15 years later, I asked Chris to take the lead and place the needles himself.
In this way, everyone who joined today’s practice had the opportunity to directly experience the movement of energy.
But I emphasized one very important point:
The main purpose of this practice is not to treat people.
Healing is not the final goal.
Healing may simply come as a natural result of correct practice and a better way of living.
The true purpose is to gradually understand the love of nature.
As our understanding changes, our thinking changes.
As our thinking changes, our consciousness changes.
And as our consciousness changes, we can begin to move beyond our old habits, fixed ideas, and the limits of what we have always believed to be common sense.
Through this change, we learn how to create a healthier, happier, more peaceful, more relaxed, and more abundant life.
When we learn to live in harmony with the natural order, we do not need to chase healing ability, health, or happiness.
They can begin to follow naturally.
This was the final lesson of our 2026 Netherlands event.
Kimu Practice.
Sword Practice.
Healing Practice.
Different forms, but the same principle.
From the sword,
to the body,
to energy,
to consciousness—
everything is connected.
Follow the Energy.
And finally, I would like to give a very special thank you to Carla! ❤️
Today’s Healing Practice was held at Carla’s clinic center.
She not only opened her clinic for us, but also prepared a wonderful lunch for everyone.
The food was absolutely delicious, and everyone really enjoyed it.
Carla, thank you so much for opening your clinic to us and for feeding us so well! 😄
Your warm heart and hospitality made our final day in the Netherlands even more special.
It was a beautiful and meaningful way to complete our time together.
