Bible Reading - Acts 14:1-10

1. At Iconium Paul and Barnabas went as usual into the Jewish synagogue. There they spoke so effectively that a great number of Jews and Greeks believed.
이고니움에서 바울과 바나바는 유대인의 회당으로 평상시처럼 갔다.
거기서 그들은 아주 효과적으로 말했 때문에 많은 유대인들과 그리스인들이 믿었다.

2. But the Jews who refused to believe stirred up the other Gentiles and poisoned their minds against the brothers.
그러나 믿기를 거부한 유대인들은 다른 이방인들을 선동하여 그들의 마음을 형제들에 대한 적개심으로 물들였습니다.

3. So Paul and Barnabas spent considerable time there, speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to perform signs and wonders.
그래서 바울과 바나바는 그곳에서 상당한 시간을 보내며 주님을 위해 담대하게 복음을 전했고, 주님께서는 그들이 표적과 기적을 행할 수 있도록 하심으로써 은혜의 메시지를 확증해 주셨다.

14:4 The people of the city were divided; 그 도시의 사람들이 나뉘어졌다.

some sided with the Jews, others with the apostles.몇몇은 유대인들 편에 다른 사람들은 사도들의 편에 

14:5 There was a plot afoot among the Gentiles and Jews, together with their leaders, to mistreat them and stone them.

이방인과 유대인, 그리고 그들의 지도자들 사이에 그들을 학대하고 돌로 쳐 죽이려는 음모가 꾸며지고 있었다.

14:6 But they found out about it and fled to the Lycaonian cities of Lystra and Derbe and to the surrounding country,
14:7 where they continued to preach the good news.

그러나 그들은 이 사실을 알고 루가오니아의 도시인 루스드라와 더베, 그리고 주변 지역으로 도망쳐 복음을 계속 전파했다.

14:8 In Lystra there sat a man crippled in his feet, who was lame from birth and had never walked.

루스드라에 태어나면서 장애를 안고 전혀 걸어 본적이 없었던 앉은뱅이가 된 한 사람이 있었다.

14:9 He listened to Paul as he was speaking. 그는 바울이 말하는 것을 들었다.

 Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed

그가 치료받을 수 있는 믿음이 있는 것을 보고서, 바울은 똑 바로 그를 쳐다보고

14:10 and called out, "Stand up on your feet!" 그리고는 "일어나라!"라고 외쳤다.

At that, the man jumped up and began to walk. 그러자 그 남자는 벌떡 일어나 걷기 시작했다.
