During their IPC lessons, our Year 6 learners explored abstract art using music as their inspiration. As they listened closely, they translated sound into visual form, beginning with lines to show rhythm, shapes to represent instruments and colour to convey mood.

Each piece offered a unique interpretation. Some learners used bold tones to capture energy, while others chose softer palettes to reflect quieter, more thoughtful moments. By focusing on feeling rather than real images, learners were encouraged to think more deeply about emotion and what it represents.

Through this process, they developed creative thinking skills and learnt how to express and interpret ideas through art.
