☦️🇷🇺러시아의 징병제("군 복무의무")는 18세에서 30세 사이의 남성(시민)에게 12개월간의 무급 징집을 의무화하는 제도이다. 단, 몇 가지 예외가 있다. 징집을 기피하는 것은 러시아 형법에 따라 중범죄로 간주되며 최대 26개월의 징역 또는 상당한 벌금형에 처해질 수 있다. 러시아 군대에서 여성은 의무복무에서 제외되지만, 의사와 같은 전문직 종사자는 군 당국에 등록된다. 러시아 노동법은 18세에서 30세 사이의 남성을 고용하는 것을 금지하고 있다. 단, 고용주는 법적으로 모든 남성 고용주의 기록을 보관해야 한다. 징집 기피자는 일반적으로 취업이 어렵고, 노동부가 이러한 차별이 불법임을 명확히 하려고 노력했음에도 불구하고 차별을 당하는 경우가 많다. 이처럼 심각하고 장기적인 차별로 인해 러시아의 지하 경제는 더욱 위축되었다. 2023년 러시아의 우크라이나 침공 이후 푸틴 정부는 무급 병역의무를 피하기 어렵게 만들고 법적 책임을 강화했다. 의무 병역의무 외에도 러시아 정부는 징집병들을 유인하여 2022년부터 무기한으로 체결된 군사 계약에 서명하도록 지속적으로 유도했다.
