Bible Reading - Acts 16:22~30

16:22 The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, 

무리들은 바울과 실라를 공격하는데 합류했고

and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten.

치안판사는 그들에게 옷을 벗기고 때리도록 명령했다.

16:23 After they had been severely flogged, 그들이 심하게 채찍질한 후에 

they were thrown into prison, 그들은 감옥에 던져졌고

and the jailer was commanded to guard them carefully.

간수는 주의 깊게 그들을 지키도록 명령을 받았다.

16:24 Upon receiving such orders, 그런 명령을 받은 후에  

he put them in the inner cell and fastened their feet in the stocks.

그는 그들을 감옥 내소에 감금했고 그들의 발을 차꼬에 채웠다.

16:25 About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, 

한밤중에 바울과 실라는 기도하며 하나님께 찬양을 불러 드렸고 

and the other prisoners were listening to them. 다른 죄수들은 듣고 있었다.

16:26 Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. 갑자기 감옥의 기초가 흔들리는 난폭한 지진이 있었다.

At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose.

한번에 모든 감옥 문이 열리며 모든 사람들의 쇠사슬이 풀어졌다.

16:27 The jailer woke up, 그 간수가 깨어나서 

and when he saw the prison doors open, 감옥 문이 열린 것을 보았을 때

he drew his sword and was about to kill himself 그는 칼을 빼어 막 자살하려고 했다.

because he thought the prisoners had escaped.왜냐하면 그는 죄수들이 탈출했다고 생각했기 때문이다. 

16:28 But Paul shouted, "Don't harm yourself! We are all here!"

그러나 바울이 외쳤다."너 자신을 해치지 말라. 우리 모두 여기에 있다."

16:29 The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas.

간수는 등을 가져오도록 했고 달려 들어와 바울과 실라 앞에서 떨며 엎드렸다.

16:30 He then brought them out and asked, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

그때 그는 그들을 밖으로 데리고 나와서 묻기를 " 선생님들이여, 내가 무엇을 해야만 구원을 받겠습니까?"
