<P>The five-time All-Star shortstop agreed to a $8 million, one-year contract with the Cubs on Tuesday. The deal also includes performance bonuses for games started and plate appearances. </P>
<P>Garciaparra hit .308 with nine homers and 41 RBI with Boston and Chicago last season. Garciaparra said at the end of the season that he would consider coming back to the Cubs, but he wanted to test the free-agent market for the first time in his career. </P>
<P>Garciaparra spent the first 8½ seasons of his career with the Boston Red Sox before being traded to Chicago on July 31 as part of a four-team deal. </P>
<P>He played only 81 games last year because of Achilles' tendon, left wrist and groin injuries. But when he's healthy, the two-time AL batting champion still has plenty of power, hitting .344 and driving in 28 runs from July 1 to Aug. 31. </P>
<P>Garciaparra is a career .322 hitter with 182 home runs and 710 RBI. He has hit .300 or better in seven seasons, and had a career-best 30-game hitting streak in 1997. 물론 건강한 렌테리아가 155경기 나오면서 .280에 5홈런 80타점이면 당연히 좋습니다. 그런데 아무래도 노마는 바운스 백할 것 같아서요. 20경기 쉬지만 일단 .320은 기본이고 그 타율에 쏟아져 나오는 출루율과 더불어 20홈런정도에 100타점 조금 못 한다면 같은 값이면 다홍치마 노마로 하지 않을까요?^^

팀에 있어서는 매년 3할쳐주지만 1년에 20경기를 기본적으로 쉬어주는 노마보다는 타율은 좀 떨어져도 센스있고 수비도 준수한 거기에 부상없이 풀타임 뛸 수 있는 렌테리아가 낫지 않을까요?? 유격수라는 포지션이 백업도 구하기 힘든 포지션 아닙니까??
물론 건강한 렌테리아가 155경기 나오면서 .280에 5홈런 80타점이면 당연히 좋습니다. 그런데 아무래도 노마는 바운스 백할 것 같아서요. 20경기 쉬지만 일단 .320은 기본이고 그 타율에 쏟아져 나오는 출루율과 더불어 20홈런정도에 100타점 조금 못 한다면 같은 값이면 다홍치마 노마로 하지 않을까요?^^

노마가 보스톤을 떠나던 해 밤비노의 저주가 풀어졌듯는데요,,, 내년엔 시카고에서 노마가 주인공이 되어서 염소의 저주를 풀어줬으면 합니다 그럼 아마 FA 대박이 날 수 있지 않을까요?
아쉽지만... -_-;; 내년에 뭔가 하지 않을까하는 개인적 느낌이...^^
