Exploring Nature’s Classroom: Year 13 Biology Field Trip

Our Year 13 Biologists ventured beyond the classroom to the beautiful #TiomanIsland for an immersive field experience that brought their A2 studies to life!

Students got hands-on with transects and quadrats, learning how to assess invertebrate diversity along the shore. They also applied these skills across different ecosystems, from the lush rainforest to the freshwater streams near Paya Beach.

The adventure ended with an unforgettable snorkeling session on the house reef, where students spotted clownfish, parrotfish, and vibrant nudibranchs. The highlight of the trip? An exciting and rare sighting of a Blacktip Reef Shark

This annual field trip is a wonderful opportunity for our students to deepen their understanding of ecological sampling and conservation while creating lasting memories together.

모험은 하우스 암초에서 잊을 수 없는 스노클링 세션으로 끝났고, 학생들은 광대고기, 앵무새, 활기찬 누드 가지를 발견했습니다. 여행의 하이라이트는? 블랙팁 암초 상어의 흥미롭고 희귀한 목격담입니다
이번 연례 현장 학습은 우리 학생들이 생태 표본 추출과 보존에 대한 이해를 심화시키는 동시에 함께 지속적인 추억을 만들 수 있는 훌륭한 기회입니다.
