20:11 Then he went upstairs again and broke bread and ate. 

그때 그는 윗층으로 다시 올라가서 빵을 떼어 먹었다.

After talking until daylight, he left. 날이 밝은 후에 그는 떠났다.

20:12 The people took the young man home alive and were greatly comforted.

그 사람들은 그 청년을 살려서 집으로 데려왔고, 큰 위안을 얻었다.

20:13 We went on ahead to the ship and sailed for Assos, where we were going to take Paul aboard.

우리는 먼저 배에 올라타 우리가 바울을 태우기로 했던 아소스로 향하는 항해를 시작했다.

He had made this arrangement because he was going there on foot.

그는 그곳에 걸어서 갈 예정이었기 때문에 그런 준비를 해 두었다.

20:14 When he met us at Assos, we took him aboard and went on to Mitylene.
그가 아소스에서 우리를 만났을 때, 우리는 그를 배에 태우고 미둘레네로 향했다.

20:15 The next day we set sail from there and arrived off Kios. 

이튿날 우리는 그곳에서 출항하여 키오스 앞바다에 도착했다.

The day after that we crossed over to Samos, and on the following day arrived at Miletus.

그 다음 날 우리는 사모스로 건너갔고, 이튿날에는 밀레도에 도착했다.

20:16 Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus to avoid spending time in the province of Asia, for he was in a hurry to reach Jerusalem, if possible, by the day of Pentecost.

바울은 가능한 한 오순절까지는 예루살렘에 도착하고 싶었기 때문에 아시아 지방에서 시간을 지체하지 않으려고 에베소를 그냥 지나쳐 항해하기로 결정했다.

20:17 From Miletus, Paul sent to Ephesus for the elders of the church.

바울은 밀레도에서 에베소로 사람을 보내어 교회의 장로들을 불렀다.

20:18 When they arrived, he said to them: 그들이 도착했을 때에 그는 그들에게 말하기를 

"You know how I lived the whole time I was with you, from the first day I came into the province of Asia.

"내가 아시아 지방에 처음 온 날부터 당신들과 함께 지낸 내내 어떻게 살았는지 아실 것입니다.

20:19 I served the Lord with great humility and with tears, although I was severely tested by the plots of the Jews.

비록 유대인들의 음모로 인해 혹독한 시련을 겪었지만 나는 큰 겸손과 눈물로 주님을 섬겼습니다.

20:20 You know that I have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught you publicly and from house to house.

나는 여러분에게 유익한 것이라면 무엇이든 주저하지 않고 전했으며, 공개적으로나 집집마다 다니며 여러분을 가르쳤다는 것을 아실 것입니다.
