The Seminar in Bulgaria, August 2024
The seminar in Bulgaria, held in August 2024, was once again impeccably organized by Victor Baytchev and his son, Philip. This year, we expanded our knowledge by exploring two key skills: cutting and candle snuffing.
What is candle snuffing? It is a technique that involves extinguishing the flame of a burning candle using a sword, requiring exceptional precision and control with every stroke.
Cutting, on the other hand, involves slicing through a thick cardboard tube or bamboo stem with a sharp sword in a single motion, demanding not only strength but also the mastery of correct technique.
Overall, the seminar was a great success, featuring extensive practice of sparring techniques as well as the complete Kimu exercise series.
Participants could clearly feel the deepened flow of internal Ki energy, which enhances overall well-being and serves as an ideal preparation for the healing session. Although I have previously undergone acupuncture and Chinese herbal treatments, both of which have significantly benefited me, Master Kim Jeong Seong was once again able to provide a remarkable boost to my energy this time through the use of tapping techniques and herbal plasters applied to specific points. Later, he inserted a needle with outstanding results.
Master Kim, through his extensive practice of Kimu and his unique ability to "see" and sense energy flow, first assesses the hands and fingers to identify areas where the energy flows well and where it may be blocked. He then channels pure natural Ki energy, focusing it as he inserts the needle with truly profound effects. Once again, I experienced an immediate improvement in the flow of energy throughout my body from the application of just a single needle. As an acupuncturist myself, I continue to be amazed by this unique technique, its remarkable results, and I am increasingly developing both a deeper understanding and appreciation for it.
We warmly welcome Master Kim Jeong Seong back to the Netherlands and look forward to seeing him again soon.
Best regards,
