국민투표까지 했는데, 결과야 명약관화일 테고 네덜란드나 프랑스, 또는 브라질이나 콜롬비아가 어떻게 개입할 지 모르곘네요.
1972년 1월에 온두라스가 영국 식민지였던 벨리즈를 위협했을 때는 영국이 항모 아크 로열의 버커니어 S2 공격기를 띄워 벨리즈 상공에서 무력 시위를 하기도 했지요.
