Bible Reading - Acts 21:11~30

21:11 Coming over to us, he took Paul's belt, tied his own hands and feet with it and said, "The Holy Spirit says, 'In this way the Jews of Jerusalem will bind the owner of this belt and will hand him over to the Gentiles.'"

그가 우리에게 다가와 바울의 띠를 가져다가 자기의 손과 발을 묶고 말했다. "성령께서 말씀하시기를 '예루살렘의 유대인들이 이 벨트의 임자를 이와 같이 묶어 이방인들의 손에 넘겨줄 것이다'라고 하셨습니다."

21:12 When we heard this, we and the people there pleaded with Paul not to go up to Jerusalem.

우리가 이 이야기를 듣고서, 우리와 거기있던 사람들은 바울이 예루살렘에 올라가지 말하고 간청했다.

21:13 Then Paul answered, 그래서 바울이 대답하기를 

"Why are you weeping and breaking my heart? 왜 너희는 울어서 내 마음을 무너지게 하고 있는가?

I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."

나는 결박을 당하는 것 뿐만 아니라 주 예수의 이름을 위하여 예루살렘에서 죽을 준비를 하고 있다.

21:14 When he would not be dissuaded, 그가 설득되지 않으므로 

we gave up and said, "The Lord's will be done."

우리는 포기하고서 "주님의 뜻이 이루어지이다."하고 말했다.

21:15 After this, we got ready and went up to Jerusalem.

이후에 우리는 준비하여 예루살렘으로 올라갔다.

21:16 Some of the disciples from Caesarea accompanied us and brought us to the home of Mnason, where we were to stay.

가이사랴 출신의 제자 몇명이 우리와 동행하여 우리가 머물 예정이었던 나손의 집으로 우리를 데려갔다.

He was a man from Cyprus and one of the early disciples.

그는 키프로스 출신의 남자였으며 초기 제자들 중에 한 사람이었다.

21:17 When we arrived at Jerusalem, the brothers received us warmly.

우리가 예루살렘에 도착했을 때에, 형제들이 우리를 따뜻하게 영접했다.

21:18 The next day Paul and the rest of us went to see James, and all the elders were present.

다음날 바울과 우리들 중에 나머지 사람들이 야고보를 보러갔고, 모든 장로들이 출석했다.

21:19 Paul greeted them and reported in detail what God had done among the Gentiles through his ministry.

바울은 그들에게 인사하고 하나님께서 그의 사역을 통해 이방인들 중에서 행하셨던 것을 상세히 보고했다.

21:20 When they heard this, they praised God. 

그들이 이 소식을 듣고서 하나님을 찬양했다.

Then they said to Paul: "You see, brother, how many thousands of Jews have believed, and all of them are zealous for the law.

그러자 그들이 바울에게 말했다. "형제여, 보십시오. 수천 명의 유대인들이 믿었는데, 그들은 모두 율법에 열심입니다."
