Reception - Monster Phonics Launch Day

Our Reception children had a magical start to their Monster Phonics journey at the start of term. The Reception teachers and TAs dressed up as Tricky Witch and her Black Cats to introduce the friendly monsters, and the children learned each monster’s name, sound, and action.

The morning was packed with exciting activities:

- Painting colourful monster masks of their favourite characters

- Playing “Feed the Monster” and a tin can knock-down game

- Searching for hidden monsters around the outside learning area

- Beginning to link sounds with their new monster friends

- Making silly sound soup

- Searching for spiders in cobwebs and in the water tray

The children had so much fun and are eager to continue their Monster Phonics adventure, learning sounds, blending, and taking their very first steps to become independent readers!

리셉션 어린이들은 학기 초 몬스터 파닉스 여정을 마법처럼 시작했습니다. 리셉션 교사와 TA들은 까다로운 마녀와 검은 고양이로 분장하여 친근한 몬스터들을 소개했고, 아이들은 각 몬스터의 이름, 소리, 행동을 배웠습니다.
아침은 흥미진진한 활동들로 가득했습니다:
- 좋아하는 캐릭터의 다채로운 몬스터 가면 그리기
- "피드 더 몬스터"와 깡통 캔 넉다운 게임을 플레이하기
- 외부 학습 구역 주변에서 숨겨진 몬스터 찾기
- 새로운 몬스터 친구들과 소리를 연결하기 시작하기
- 우스꽝스러운 수프 만들기
- 거미줄과 물받이에서 거미 찾기
아이들은 정말 재미있었고 몬스터 파닉스 모험을 계속하고 싶어 합니다. 소리를 배우고, 섞이며, 독립적인 독자가 되기 위한 첫걸음을 내딛고 있습니다!
