26. March 27 (Tues), itinerary - Lisbon - Estoril - Cabo da Roca - Sintra

  We departed from the Belém district of Lisbon, where the Jerónimos Monastery is located (3,859 km), at 12:50 PM, passed through Estoril, and after crossing the peaceful and quiet villages of the Portuguese countryside, arrived around 2:30 PM at Cabo Da Roca (3,909 km), the westernmost village of Eurasia, located about 50 km northwest. Below the steep northwestern cliffs, the dark blue Atlantic Ocean crashes against the rocks under the strong winds.This place, like the southernmost sea of Portugal in Sagres, experiences strong winds

  제르니모스 수도원이 있는 리스보아의 벨렘 지구 (3,859Km)를 오후 12시 50분에 떠나 Estoril을 거쳐 폴투칼 시골의 평화롭고 조용한 마을을 지나 서북쪽 50여 Km 떨어 진 유라시아의 서쪽 땅끝 마을인 Cabo Da Roca(3,909Km)에 오후 2시 30분경 도착했다. 서북쪽 가파른 절벽 밑에는 검푸른 대서양이 거세게 부는 바람에 파도가 바위를 삼키고 있다. 

이곳은 폴투칼 최남단 Sagres 바다와 같이 바람이 강하게 분다.

On the way to Cabo Da Roca, the westernmost point of Eurasia, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean 유라시아의 제일 서쪽 끝이 폴투칼 로카 곶(cabo De Roca)으로 가는 길에 대서양을 바라 보며

                                                    This is Cape Roca, the westernmost point of the Eurasian continent.

                                 It is located about 40 km northwest of Lisbon, at 38°46' N latitude and 9°30' W longitude.

                                            유라시아 대륙의 서쪽끝인 로까곶입니다. 리스본에서 서북서쪽 약 40km 지점,

                                            북위 38°46', 서경 9°30'

YS Jeong had visited Haenam's land's end several times with me. Standing at the land's end, one feels a surge of strength for new challenges. There is a verse by Portugal's famous poet Camões written here: 'Here the land ends and the sea begins.' It is the end of Eurasia, yet the beginning of the endlessly unfolding Atlantic Ocean.

                               정공은 나와함께 해남 땅끝을 몇번 다녀왔었다.  땅끝에 서면 새로운 도전의 힘이 솟는다.

                               포르투갈 유명시인 까몽이스의 시구가 써 있다. "이곳에서 땅이 끝나고 바다가 시작된다"

                               유라시아의 끝이지만 끝없이 펼쳐진 대서양의 시작이다.      

The journey to the ends of the earth comes to an end, but for me, it is a new beginning. I will embark on a beautiful challenge.

                                              땅끝 까지의 여행은  끝이 지만 나에게는 새로운 시작이다. 아름다운 도전을 할 것이다.

Strong winds that seem like they could blow you away, and equally intense sunlight The beginning of the vast Atlantic Ocean, Some might think, 'Well~ it's just a cliff?' but people go there just to feel the sensation of reaching the edge of the land~ Watching the waves crash against the cliffs gives you a feeling of your chest opening up! 람을 날려버릴 듯한 강한 바람과 그에 못지 않은 강열한 햇살 대서양이란 망망대해의 시작, '뭐~ 그냥 절벽이네?' 하실분들도 계시겠지만 육지의 끝에 왔다는 그 기분하나 느끼려고 가는거죠~절벽에 부서지는 파도를 보고 있으면 가슴이 뻥~ 뚫리는 느낌!

The lighthouse alone faces the wind blowing over the vast Atlantic. We had a quick bite with a sandwich at the café in the tourist information center and then went to Sintra, which was the most beautiful place on this journey. 망망한 대서양에서 불어오는 바람을  등대 홀로 맞이 한다. 관광 안내소에 있는 카페에서 센드위치로 간단히 요기를 하고 이번 여정 중 가장 아름다웠던 Sintra로 갔다.
