23:24 Provide mounts for Paul so that he may be taken safely to Governor Felix."
바울을 총독 벨릭스에게 안전하게 데려갈 수 있도록 그에게 태울 말을 제공하라.

23:25 He wrote a letter as follows:그는 다음과 같이 편지를 썼다.

23:26 Claudius Lysias, To His Excellency, Governor Felix: Greetings.
클라우디오스 리시아스가 펠릭스 총독 각하께 문안을 올립니다.

23:27 This man was seized by the Jews and they were about to kill him, but I came with my troops and rescued him, for I had learned that he is a Roman citizen.
유대인들이 이 사람을 붙잡아 죽이려 했으나, 그가 로마 시민이라는 사실을 알게 된 내가 군대를 이끌고 가서 그를 구출했습니다.

23:28 I wanted to know why they were accusing him, so I brought him to their Sanhedrin.
그들이 왜 그를 고발하는지 알고 싶어서, 나는 그를 그들의 산헤드린으로 데려갔습니다.

23:29 I found that the accusation had to do with questions about their law,
나는 그 혐의가 그들의 법에 관한 질문과 관련이 있다는 것을 알게 되었으나
but there was no charge against him that deserved death or imprisonment.
그에게는 사형이나 구금에 해당할 만한 혐의가 없었습니다.

23:30 When I was informed of a plot to be carried out against the man, I sent him to you at once.
그 사람을 겨냥한 음모가 실행될 것이라는 사실을 알게 되었을 때, 저는 즉시 그를 당신에게 보냈습니다.
I also ordered his accusers to present to you their case against him.
또한 나는 그를 고발한 자들에게 그에 대한 혐의를 당신 앞에 제시하라고 명령했습니다.

23:31 So the soldiers, carrying out their orders, took Paul with them during the night and brought him as far as Antipatris.
그래서 병사들이 명령을 수행하여 밤중에 바울을 데리고 안디바드리까지 갔습니다.

23:32 The next day they let the cavalry go on with him, while they returned to the barracks.
다음 날 그들은 기병대가 그와 함께 계속 이동하도록 하고 자신들은 병영으로 돌아갔습니다.

23:33 When the cavalry arrived in Caesarea, 기병대가 가이사랴에 도착했을 때
they delivered the letter to the governor and handed Paul over to him.
그들은 총독에게 편지를 전달하고 바울을 그에게 넘겨주었습니다.

23:34 The governor read the letter and asked what province he was from.
그 총독은 그 서신을 읽고서 그가 무슨 지방 출신인지 물었다.  
Learning that he was from Cilicia, 그가 길리기아 출신이라는 것을 알고서 

23:35 he said, "I will hear your case when your accusers get here." 
그가 말했다."나는 너를 고소한 자들이 여기에 올때 너의 건에 대해 들을 것이다."
Then he ordered that Paul be kept under guard in Herod's palace.
그런 다음 그는 바울을 헤롯 궁에 구금해 두라고 명령했다.
