[眞如華]

     2. 보살의 두 가지 모습

     彌勒      當知      菩薩      有二相      何謂爲二      一者      好於雜句文飾之事      二者      不畏深義 如實能入

     미륵이여, 마땅히 알아라. 보살에게 두 가지 모습이 있으니 무엇이 두 가지인가? 하나는 잡된 글귀와 문장을 수식하는 일을 좋아하는 것이며, 둘은 깊은 뜻을 두려워하지 않고 진실에 능히 들어가는 것이니라.

     Maitreya, you should understand that there are two types of bodhisattvas. What are these two types? The first type loves varied phrases and literary embellishment. The second is not afraid of deeper principles and is able to enter into the true meaning.

Maitreya; 미륵이여

you should understand that; 마땅히 알아라

there are two types of bodhisattvas

; 보살에게 두 가지 모습이 있으니

What are these two types; 무엇이 두 가지인가

The first type loves; 하나는 ~ 좋아하는 것이며

varied phrases and literary embellishment

; 잡된 글귀와 문장을 수식하는 일을

The second is not afraid of; 둘은 ~ 두려워하지 않고

deeper principles; 깊은 뜻을

the true meaning; 진실에

and is able to enter into; 능히 들어가는 것이니라
