Bible Reading - Acts 24:10~18

24:10 When the governor motioned for him to speak, 
총독이 그에게 말하라고 손짓했을 때에
Paul replied: 바울이 대답했다.
"I know that for a number of years you have been a judge over this nation; so I gladly make my defense.
나는 여러해 동안 당신이 이 나라에서 재판관이 되었다는 것을 압니다.  그래서 나는 기쁘게 나의 변호를 할까합니다.  

24:11 You can easily verify(확인하다) that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship.
내가 예배를 드리러 예루살렘에 올라간 지 12일이 채 되지 않았다는 사실을 쉽게 확인하실 수 있습니다.

24:12 My accusers did not find me arguing with anyone at the temple, or stirring up a crowd in the synagogues or anywhere else in the city.
저를 고발한 사람들은 제가 성전에서 누군가와 논쟁하거나, 회당이나 도시의 다른 어떤 곳에서도 군중을 선동하는 모습을 발견하지 못했습니다.

24:13 And they cannot prove to you the charges(혐의) they are now making against me.
그리고 그들은 현재 저에게 제기하고 있는 혐의를 당신에게 입증할 수 없습니다.

24:14 However, I admit that I worship the God of our fathers as a follower of the Way, which they call a sect.
그러나 나는 그들이 분파(sect)라고 부르는 '그 길'을 따르는 자로서 우리 조상들의 하나님을 섬긴다는 사실을 인정합니다.
I believe everything that agrees with the Law and that is written in the Prophets,
나는 율법에 부합하고 예언서에 기록된 모든 것을 믿습니다.

24:15 and I have the same hope in God as these men, that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the wicked.
그리고 나도 이 사람들과 마찬가지로, 의인과 악인 모두의 부활이 있을 것이라는 소망을 하나님께 두고 있습니다.

24:16 So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.
그래서 나는 하나님과 사람들 앞에서 항상 깨끗한 양심을  지키려고 노력합니다.

24:17 "After an absence of several years, I came to Jerusalem to bring my people gifts for the poor and to present offerings.
수년 만에 나는 가난한 사람들을 위한 선물들과 예물을 드리려고 예루살렘에 왔습니다.

24:18 I was ceremonially clean when they found me in the temple courts doing this.
그들이 성전 뜰에서 내가 이런 일을 하고 있는 것을 발견했을 때, 나는 의식상 정결한 상태였습니다.
There was no crowd with me, nor was I involved in any disturbance.
내 곁에는 아무런 군중도 없었으며, 나는 어떠한 소란에도 가담하지 않았습니다.
