너와 나 대화 속에 편안한 만남이 좋다.

I like comfortable encounters in conversation between you and me.

너와 나 대화 속에 마음을 터놓고 푸념 하소연을 해도 상대가

무슨 생각을 할까, 짐작하지 않아도 되는 사람, 말을 잘하지

않아도 선한 눈웃음에 정이 가는 사람이 좋다.

I like someone with whom I can open up and 

vent my feelings without having to guess what the other person is thinking, 

someone whose kind smile makes me feel affectionate even if they don't speak well.

문득 생각나 차 한잔하자고 전화하면 밥 먹을 시간까지 

스스름없이 내어주는 사람 장미처럼 화려하진 않아도
풀꽃처럼 들꽃처럼 성품이 온유한 사람이 좋다,

I like someone who, if I call on a whim to have a cup of tea, 

readily makes time for a meal. Someone who,

even if not as glamorous as a rose, has a gentle nature like a wildflower.

머리를 써서 상대를 차갑고 냉철하게 하는 사람보다,
가슴을 써서 만나고 나면 가슴이 따뜻해지는 사람
마음이 힘든 날엔 떠올리기만 해도 그냥 마음이

편안하고 위로가 되는 사람 좋다 ,

Rather than someone who uses their head to make others cold and detached,
I like someone who uses their heart and leaves you feeling warm after meeting them,
someone who brings peace and comfort just by thinking of them on days when my heart is heavy.

흐린 날에 고개 들어 하늘을 보면 왠지 햇살 같은 미소

한번 띄워줄 거 같은 사람 사는 게 바빠 자주 연락하지

못해도 서운해하지 않고, 오히려 뒤에서 말없이

 기도해 주는 사람 좋다,

I like someone who seems like they would give me a smile like sunshine

 when I look up at the sky on a cloudy day.
Someone who doesn't get upset even if I can't contact them often because life is busy,
and instead prays for me silently from behind.

내 속을 하나에서 열까지 다 드러내지 않아도 짐짓 헤아려

너그러이 이해해 주는 사람 욕심 없이사심 없이 순수한

마음으로 상대가 잘되기를 바라는 사람 진심으로 충고를

해주면 진심으로 고마워하고 자신을 돌아볼 줄 아는

사람 좋다,

A person who understands me generously without me having to reveal everything inside me,
a person who wishes for my well-being with a pure heart, free from greed and selfish motives,
and who is sincerely grateful for advice, and knows how to reflect on themselves.
I like such a person.

어딘가 꼬여서 항상 부정적인 사람보다 매사에 감사하고

 긍정적인 사람 열 마디의 말보다 한마디의 침묵에도
내 속을 알아주는 사람 양은 냄비처럼 빨리 끓지 않아도
뚝배기처럼 느리고 더디게 끓어도, 한번 끓은 마음은 

쉽사리 변치 않는 사람 좋다,

스스로 교만하지 않고 남이 나를 인정할 때까지, 그때를

묵묵히 기다릴 줄 아는 겸손한 사람과, 사람됨을 물질로 판단하지,

안고, 자연스럽게 인품이 묻어나는데 더 중심을 두는 사람이 좋다,

I like a humble person who is not arrogant and

 knows how to wait patiently until others acknowledge them,
and a person who does not judge a person by material possessions,
but places more emphasis on their character naturally shining through.

진솔함이 자연스레 묻어 내면의 향기가 저절로  베어나오는

사람 진정한 가치가 무엇인지 알고서 그에 흔들림 없이 

자신을 지키는 사람이 좋다,

I like a person whose sincerity naturally permeates and

 whose inner fragrance naturally emanates,
who knows what true value is and protects themselves without wavering.

만나서 대화를 하다보면 기분이 안 좋아지는 사람은 멀리하고,

만나서 세상 풍파에도 쉬이 요동치지 않고, 늘~ 한결같이

변함없는 사람.. 처음보다 알면 알수록 더 마음이 편안해지는

그런 사람이 소중한 사람이다,

Keep your distance from people who make you feel bad when you talk to them.
Meet someone who is not easily shaken by the storms of life,

always steadfast and unchanging.
Someone who makes you feel more at ease the more you get to know them,

even more than at first.
That is the kind of person you cherish.
