Kian Soltani, violoncello
Kian Soltani is an acclaimed Austrian-Iranian cellist, born in Bregenz, Austria in 1992 to a family of Iranian musicians. He began playing the cello at the age of four and studied with Ivan Monighetti from age twelve at the Basel Music Academy, later continuing at Kronberg Academy in Germany and the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein. Soltani has held notable positions including principal cellist in Daniel Barenboim's West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, gaining international recognition through performances such as Beethoven’s Triple Concerto during the 2015 tour.[2][3][5]
