Year 5 Exit Point - Myths and Legends 신화와 전설

To conclude our Myths and Legends unit, the Year 5 classes visited their Year 1 buddy classes to share the handmade storybooks they had created. The stories reflected the wide range of myths and legends the children have explored from different cultures. These included Aboriginal creation stories such as The Rainbow Serpent, well-known European legends like Robin Hood, and tales linked to modern-day celebrations such as The Legend of the Cempasúchil Flower.

There was also a strong focus on dragon stories, as the children had studied how dragons are represented differently in European and Asian myths. Working in pairs, Year 5 pupils adapted the stories to make them suitable for a Year 1 audience. They also made sure their books were bright and engaging, decorating them with colourful materials such as glitter, cotton wool, tin foil, and sand to add texture. Well done to Year 5 for their wonderful cooperation and creativity!

신화와 전설 단원을 마무리하기 위해 5학년 반은 1학년 버디 반을 방문하여 직접 만든 동화책을 공유했습니다. 이 이야기들은 아이들이 다양한 문화권에서 탐구한 다양한 신화와 전설을 반영했습니다. 여기에는 무지개 뱀과 같은 원주민 창작 이야기, 로빈 후드와 같은 잘 알려진 유럽 전설, 켐파수칠 꽃의 전설과 같은 현대 축제와 관련된 이야기가 포함되었습니다.
아이들은 유럽과 아시아 신화에서 용이 어떻게 다르게 표현되는지 공부했기 때문에 용 이야기에 대한 집중도가 높았습니다. 5학년 학생들은 짝을 지어 이야기를 1학년 학생들에게 적합하도록 각색했습니다. 또한 책이 밝고 매력적인지 확인하고 글리터, 면실, 주석 호일, 모래와 같은 다채로운 소재로 장식하여 질감을 더했습니다.
