Bible Reading - Acts 26:1~10

26:1 Then Agrippa said to Paul, 그때 아그립바가 바울에게 말했다.

"You have permission to speak for yourself." 너는 너 자신을 위해 말하도록 허락을 받았다.

So Paul motioned with his hand and began his defense:

그래서 바울은 손짓을 하고 그의 변호를 시작했다. 

26:2 "King Agrippa, I consider myself fortunate to stand before you today as I make my defense against all the accusations of the Jews,

아그립바 왕이시여, 오늘 저는 유대인들의 모든 고소에 대해 변호할 수 있도록 왕 앞에 서게 된 것을 큰 행운으로 생각합니다.

26:3 and especially so because you are well acquainted with all the Jewish customs and controversies.

특히 당신은 유대인의 모든 관습과 논쟁 사항을 잘 알고 있기 때문입니다.

Therefore, I beg you to listen to me patiently.

그러므로 당신이 내게 인내심있게 들어주시기를 간청합니다.

26:4 "The Jews all know the way I have lived ever since I was a child, from the beginning of my life in my own country, and also in Jerusalem.

유대인들은 모두 내가 어린 시절부터 어떻게 살아왔는지, ​​곧 나 자신의 나라와 또한 예루살렘에서 또한 내가 어떻게 살아왔는지를 알고 있습니다.

26:5 They have known me for a long time and can testify, if they are willing, that according to the strictest sect of our religion, I lived as a Pharisee.

그들은 나를 오랫동안 알고 지내왔으며, 만약 그들이 증언하고자 한다면, 내가 우리 종교의 가장 엄격한 분파를 따라 바리새인으로 살았다는 사실을 증언해 줄 수 있을 것입니다.

26:6 And now it is because of my hope in what God has promised our fathers that I am on trial today.

이제 내가 오늘 재판을 받는 것은, 하나님께서 우리 조상들에게 약속하신 것에 대한 나의 소망 때문입니다.

26:7 This is the promise our twelve tribes are hoping to see fulfilled as they earnestly serve God day and night.

이것은 우리 열두 지파가 밤낮으로 간절히 하나님을 섬기며 그 성취를 고대하고 있는 약속입니다.

O king, it is because of this hope that the Jews are accusing me.

오, 왕이시여, 유대인들이 나를 고소하는 것은 이 소망 때문입니다. 

26:8 Why should any of you consider it incredible that God raises the dead?

하나님께서 죽은 자를 다시 살리신다는 것을, 여러분 중 누구라도 왜 믿기 어려운 일로 여겨야 합니까?

26:9 "I too was convinced that I ought to do all that was possible to oppose the name of Jesus of Nazareth.

나 또한 나사렛 예수라는 이름을 반대하기 위해 할 수 있는 모든 일을 해야 한다고 확신했습니다.

26:10 And that is just what I did in Jerusalem. 그리고 그것이 바로 내가 예루살렘에서 한 일입니다.

On the authority of the chief priests I put many of the saints in prison, and when they were put to death, I cast my vote against them.

나는 대제사장들에게서 권한을 받아 성도들 가운데 많은 사람을 감옥에 가두었고, 그들이 죽임을 당할 때 나도 그들에게 반대하는 표를 던졌습니다.
