26:11 Many a time I went from one synagogue to another to have them punished, and I tried to force them to blaspheme.

나는 여러 회당을 두루 다니며 그들이 처벌받게 했고, 그들에게 강제로 신성모독을 하게 만들려 했습니다.

In my obsession against them, I even went to foreign cities to persecute them.

나의 그들에 대한 광기 어린 집착으로, 그들을 박해하려고 외국 도시들까지 찾아가기도 했습니다.

26:12 "On one of these journeys I was going to Damascus with the authority and commission of the chief priests.

이러한 여정 중 한 번은, 대제사장들의 권한과 위임을 받아 다메섹으로 가고 있었습니다.

26:13 About noon, O king, as I was on the road, I saw a light from heaven, brighter than the sun, blazing around me and my companions.

왕이여, 정오 무렵 길을 가고 있을 때, 하늘로부터 태양보다 더 밝은 빛이 나와 나와 내 일행을 둘러싸고 비추었습니다.

26:14 We all fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me in Aramaic,

우리 모두 땅에 쓰러졌고, 나는 아람어로 내게 말하는 음성을 들었습니다.

'Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? 사울아, 사울아, 왜 너는 나를 핍박하느냐?

It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' 가시를 걷어차는 것은 너에게 힘든 일이다.

26:15 "Then I asked, 'Who are you, Lord?' " 그때 내가 "주님, 당신이 누구이십니까?"라고 물었습니다.

'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting,' the Lord replied.

"나는 네가 핍박하고 있는 예수이다."라고 주님께서 대답하셨습니다.

26:16 'Now get up and stand on your feet. 지금 일어나서 네 발로 서라.

I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness of what you have seen of me and what I will show you.

내가 너에게 나타난 것은, 네가 나에 관해 본 것들과 앞으로 내가 너에게 보여줄 것들에 대하여 너를 일꾼이자 증인으로 삼기 위함이다.

26:17 I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. 

나는 너를 너 자신의 백성들과 이방인들로부터 구할 것이다. 

I am sending you to them 나는 그들에게 너를 보낼 것이다.

26:18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

그들의 눈을 뜨게 하여 어둠에서 빛으로, 사탄의 권세에서 하나님께로 돌아오게 함으로써, 그들이 나를 믿는 믿음을 통해 죄 사함을 받고 거룩하게 된 사람들 가운데서 한 자리를 얻게 하려는 것이다.

26:19 "So then, King Agrippa, I was not disobedient to the vision from heaven.

그러므로 아그립바 왕이여, 나는 하늘에서 온 환상에 순종하지 않을 수 없었습니다.

26:20 First to those in Damascus, then to those in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and to the Gentiles also, I preached that they should repent and turn to God and prove their repentance by their deeds.

먼저 다메섹에 있는 사람들에게, 이어서 예루살렘과 온 유대 지역, 그리고 이방인들에게까지, 나는 그들이 회개하고 하나님께로 돌아와 그 회개에 합당한 행동을 보이라고 전파했습니다.

26:21 That is why the Jews seized me in the temple courts and tried to kill me.

그것이 유대인들이 성전 마당에서 나를 잡아 죽이려고 한 이유입니다.
