26:22 But I have had God's help to this very day,

하지만 나는 바로 이날까지 하나님의 도움을 받아 왔으며

and so I stand here and testify to small and great alike.

그리하여 나는 이곳에 서서, 작은 자나 큰 자들 모두에게 증거합니다.

I am saying nothing beyond what the prophets and Moses said would happen--

나는 선지자들과 모세가 일어날 것이라고 말했던 것 외에는 아무 것도 말하고 있지 않습니다.

26:23 that the Christ would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would proclaim light to his own people and to the Gentiles."

그리스도께서 고난을 받으시고, 죽은 자들 가운데서 가장 먼저 살아나셔서, 자기 백성과 이방인들에게 빛을 선포하실 것이라는 것을.

26:24 At this point Festus interrupted Paul's defense.

이때 베스도가 바울의 변론을 가로막았다.

 "You are out of your mind, Paul!" he shouted.

"바울, 네가 정신이 나갔구나!"하고 그가 소리쳤다.

"Your great learning is driving you insane."

너의 많은 학식이 너를 미치게 하고 있다.

26:25 "I am not insane, most excellent Festus," Paul replied.

"가장 탁월하신 베스도여, 나는 미치지 않았습니다."하고 바울이 대답했다.

 "What I am saying is true and reasonable.

내가 말하고 있는 것은 사실이며 합리적입니다.

26:26 The king is familiar with these things, and I can speak freely to him.

왕은 이런 일들에 익숙하며, 나는 그에게 자유롭게 이야기할 수 있습니다.

I am convinced that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner.

이 모든 일은 남모르게 이루어진 것이 아니기에, 그가 이를 전혀 알지 못했을리는 없다고 확신합니다.

26:27 King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you do."

"아그립바 왕이시여, 당신은 선지자들을 믿으십니까? 나는 당신이 믿고 있다는 것을 압니다."

26:28 Then Agrippa said to Paul, "Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?"

그러자 아그립바가 바울에게 "네가 이렇게 짧은 시간 안에 나를 설득하여 그리스도인이 되게 할 수 있다고 생각하느냐?" 하고 말했다.

26:29 Paul replied, "Short time or long--바울이 대답했다. "짧거나 혹은 길거나

I pray God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains."

나는 오늘 내 말을 듣고 있는 모든 사람이, 이 결박들만은 제외하고 모두 나와 같이 되기를 하나님께 기도합니다. 

26:30 The king rose, and with him the governor and Bernice and those sitting with them.

왕이 일어섰고, 그와 함께 총독과 버니스, 그리고 그들과 함께 앉아 있던 이들도 일어섰다.

26:31 They left the room, 그들은 그 방을 떠났고 

and while talking with one another, they said, "This man is not doing anything that deserves death or imprisonment."

그들은 서로 이야기를 나누며 "이 사람은 사형에 처하거나 감옥에 갇힐 만한 일을 전혀 하지 않았다"고 말했다.

26:32 Agrippa said to Festus, "This man could have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar."

아그립바가 베스도에게 "이 사람이 가이사에게 호소하지 않았더라면 풀어줄 수 있었을 것이다."하고 말했다.
