Bible Reading - Acts 27:34~44

27:34 “Now I urge you to take some food.
지금 나는 여러분들이 음식을 먹기를 요청합니다.
You need it to survive.
당신들이 살려면 그것이 필요합니다.
Not one of you will lose a single hair from his head.”
”당신들 중에 어떤 사람도 머리카락 하나도 잃지 않을 것입니다."

27:35 After he said this, 그가 이렇게 말한 후에
he took some bread and gave thanks to God in front of them all.
그는 빵을 취하여 그들 모두 앞에서
하나님께 감사를 드렸다.
Then he broke it and began to eat. ”그리고 나서 그는 그것을 떼어 먹기 시작했다.

27:36 “They were all encouraged and ate some food themselves. ”그들 모두가 격려를 받고 약간의 음식을 먹었다.

27:37 “Altogether there were 276 of us on board.” 모두 함께 우리 중에 배 위에 276명이 있었다.

27:38 “When they had eaten as much as they wanted, they lightened the ship by throwing the grain into the sea.”
그들이 원하는 민큼 먹고 나서 바다로 곡식을 던져서 배를 가볍게 했다.

27:39 When daylight came, 날이 밝아 오자, 

 they did not recognize the land, 그들은 그 땅을 알아보지 못했다.

but they saw a bay with a sandy beach, 하지만 그들은 모래사장으로 이루어진 만을 발견했고,

where they decided to run the ship aground if they could.

 가능하면 그곳에 배를 좌초시키기로 마음먹었다.

27:40 Cutting loose the anchors(닻), they left them in the sea

그들은 닻을 풀어 바다에 남겨두었고,

and at the same time untied the ropes that held the rudders(키). 

동시에 키를 고정하고 있던 밧줄들도 풀었다.

Then they hoisted the foresail(앞돛) to the wind and made for the beach.

그러고는 앞돛을 바람에 맞춰 올리고 해변을 향해 나아갔다.

27:41 But the ship struck a sandbar(모래톱) and ran aground.

그러나 배는 모래톱에 부딪혀 좌초했다.

The bow stuck fast and would not move, 뱃머리는 신속히 걸려버렸고 움직이지 않았다.

and the stern(선미) was broken to pieces by the pounding of the surf.

그리고 선미는 거센 파도에 부딪혀 산산조각이 났다.

27:42 The soldiers planned to kill the prisoners to prevent any of them from swimming away and escaping.

병사들은 죄수들이 헤엄쳐 달아나지 못하도록 그들을 죽이기로 계획했다.

27:43 But the centurion wanted to spare Paul's life and kept them from carrying out their plan.

그러나 백부장은 바울의 생명을 구하고 싶어 했기에, 그들이 계획을 실행하지 못하도록 막았다.

He ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land.

그는 수영할 수 있는 사람들에게 먼저 배 밖으로 뛰어내려 육지로 가라고 지시했다.

27:44 The rest were to get there on planks or on pieces of the ship. 

나머지 사람들은 판자나 배 조각을 타고 그곳에 가기로 되어 있었다.

In this way everyone reached land in safety.

이런 식으로 모두가 무사히 육지에 도착했다.
