Today, our Year 4 pupils had an unforgettable experience as they stepped back in time to the age of the Vikings. It was a day filled with immersive, hands-on activities designed to bring history vividly to life. A particular highlight was the Viking boat-building project. Pupils worked collaboratively to design and construct their own miniature Viking longships, which were then launched and later dramatically set alight on our lake in a tribute to traditional Viking send-offs. The excitement of seeing their creations both sail and blaze was matched only by the sense of achievement and teamwork it inspired. It was a powerful and memorable blend of creativity, collaboration, and historical learning in action.

오늘 4학년 학생들은 바이킹 시대로 시간을 거슬러 올라가며 잊을 수 없는 경험을 했습니다. 역사에 생생하게 살아 숨 쉬는 체험 활동으로 가득 찬 하루였습니다. 특히 하이라이트는 바이킹 보트 제작 프로젝트였습니다. 학생들은 자신만의 미니어처 바이킹 롱십을 설계하고 제작하기 위해 협력했습니다. 이 롱십은 발사된 후 전통적인 바이킹 배웅을 기리기 위해 우리 호수에 극적으로 불을 지폈습니다. 그들의 작품이 항해와 불꽃을 모두 볼 수 있다는 흥분은 영감을 받은 성취감과 팀워크와 일치했습니다. 창의성, 협업, 역사적 학습이 실제로 어우러진 강력하고 기억에 남는 경험이었습니다.
