True Faith looks like it isn't even going to make the Top 20 at the weekend.
As far as comeback singles go, George Michael’s is not the greatest in history and could well be his biggest flop in over twenty years.
The single True Faith is not likely to even break the top 20 at the weekend, as it currently languishes at number 26 in the midweek charts.
The singer’s only single to do that badly on release was Round Here, which just scraped the Top 40 by arriving at position 32, but that was his fifth single from the album, Patience.
All of this comes even though Michael is donating the proceeds from the single to Comic Relief, usually a sure fire way of boosting sales.
Yet Michael told his fans not be surprised by the single’s position and told them, “U r doing me proud so far.”
This is the singer’s first return to music after being jailed for drug driving last year.
