미국수석전시회

  매년 저희 지역 동호회인 Southern Breeze Tree and Stone Society는 헌팅턴 도서관, 미술관 및 식물원에서 열리는 설날 축제의 일환으로 분재와 감상석 전시회를 개최해왔습니다. 헌팅턴은 로스앤젤레스 카운티에서 가장 크고 뛰어난 문화 기관 중 하나입니다. 이 주요 연례 행사 티켓은 수개월 전에 매진되었으며, 10,000명 이상의 방문객이 다양한 활동과 전시회를 즐겼습니다.

  올해 우리의 수석 전시는 중국, 일본, 한국, 말레이시아, 인도네시아의 수석을 포함하도록 확대되었습니다. 2026년 2월 21일과 22일에 열린 전시회에는 다섯 점의 수석이 포함되었습니다. 이번이 주요 남부 캘리포니아 축제에서 한국 수석이 처음으로 전시된 사례입니다. 한국 수석에 대한 관객들의 반응은 매우 긍정적이었으며, 2027년 축제에는 더 큰 수석을 전시할 수 있기를 희망합니다. 북미에서 수석 전시를 하는 것은 한국 문화의 중요한 측면에 대한 인식을 높이는 데 중요하다고 생각합니다.

  Each year, our local club, the Southern Breeze Tree and Stone Society, has had an exhibition of bonsai and viewing stones as part of the Lunar New Year Festival held at the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Garden. The Huntington is one of the largest and finest cultural institutions in Los Angeles County. Tickets to this major annual event were sold out months in advance, and over 10,000 visitors participated in the various activities and exhibitions.

  Our exhibition of viewing stones was expanded this year to include stones from China, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Five Suseok were included in the exhibition held February  21st and 22nd  2026. This was the first time Korean stones were displayed in this major Southern California festival. The public response to the Korean stones was very positive, and we hope to display larger Suseok in the festival in 2027. We think it is important to have exhibits of Suseok in North America to develop better awareness of this important aspect of Korean culture.
