​Shin-Chim (Vipassana-Acupuncture) is a healing practice where the practitioner's heightened state of consciousness and natural energy flow guide the needle to the precise point; however, its ultimate purpose lies beyond physical healing, in the fundamental transformation of consciousness.

As seen in the photo above, I would like to explain the phenomenon of "Shin-chim" (神針, Vipassana-Acupuncture)—which is experienced when the mind and body become completely one while applying acupuncture—from the perspective of geometric and mathematical dimension theory.

The phenomena where the fingertips are spontaneously drawn toward specific acupuncture points, and where high-dimensional imagery such as light, lotuses, or the Taegeuk (Um-Yang symbol) becomes visible whether your eyes are open or closed, can be interpreted through three main principles using the metaphor of dimensions:

1. The "Topological Movement" of a 4+ Dimensional Energy Map Beyond 3D Space

The human body we see with our physical eyes is a 3D volume enclosed by skin and muscles.

However, the world of Ki (energy) and meridians can be viewed as high-dimensional energy channels and fields overlaid on top of 3D physical space.

Applying acupuncture through visual observation and rational calculation only finds coordinates on the 3D x, y, z axes.

Once you master the core principle of spontaneous body movement—found in Jinyoung Ssangkum Ryu Kimu practice—you can directly feel the "4D flow of energy" beyond the 3D barrier through your fingertips.

What appears to a 3D observer as a "mysterious phenomenon where the hand moves on its own" can be explained from a high-dimensional field perspective as a natural topological movement of energy.


2. 3D Projection of High-Dimensional Waveform Information (Visualization of Light, Lotuses, Taegeuk, etc.)


Perceiving forms such as light, lotuses, or the Taegeuk—not only with eyes closed, but even with eyes open—can be explained as high-dimensional energy information being "projected" into the physical visual perception system.

In the ultimate realm of Shin-Chim (divine acupuncture), the boundaries between the practitioner (self), the patient (other), the needle, and the energy completely vanish.

If you follow the surface of a Klein Bottle, the inside wall smoothly becomes the outside wall, and the outside wall turns back into the inside wall.

In deep meditation, the practitioner’s awareness becomes like the smooth surface of a Klein Bottle.

The boundary dividing "my inner consciousness" and "the outer world (the patient’s body and energy)" melts away.

The light inside me is the light outside me, and the outer energy becomes the force that moves my hands.

Therefore, whether my eyes are open or closed, it can be feel and see those high-dimensional lights and forms at the same time according to people.
