Title: A Blast from the Past: Buenos Aires, 2007

October 4, 2026 (Sunday)
Early this morning, Master Arlei Bedatt from Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, sent me the video above.

He asked me to review and compare it with another sword form video.

September 24–30, 2007

I attended the TAFISA General Assembly in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At the time, we also held a promotional briefing for the World Sport for All Games, which Busan had successfully won the bid to host.

A large delegation from South Korea—including National Assembly members, IOC officials, and Busan City representatives—came out for the event.

At that time, I was traveling all over the globe, working tirelessly to promote and organize the 2009 World Haedong Kumdo Championship.

During my stay in Argentina, I visited a local dojang and had the chance to socialize with the team from Brazil. I didn't really have time to practice back then, but Giovani, a representative from Brazil, urgently asked if I could demonstrate a few sword forms. So, I ended up being filmed right then and there—wearing the exact formal suit I wore to the assembly, haha. Filming a swordsmanship video in a suit!

Looking back at myself from nearly 20 years ago, wearing a suit with long hair, brings back so many memories.

The moment I opened my eyes early this morning, those fond memories came rushing back, bringing a big smile to my face.
