Example: M: My sister wants a hair pin for her birthday. W: So, why don't you get it for her? M: Are you crazy? Do you know how expensive it is? W: You're such a cheapskate!
Definition: Cheapskate
means a person who will not spend much Explanation: This idiom is referred to a person who has money but will not spend it. Other substitute words are miser, Scrooge or penny-pincher.
